Can anybody help with this problem

If you don’t get any response from Hymer I would ask Peter Hambilton’s advice. There isn’t much they don’t know about fixing Hymer’s.
They may have come across this or similar before. Contact email below.

My first (ancient) caravan looked like that after I left it for a winter in storage, fungi growing inside too.....

Obviously a bad leak :(

I think they have stopped trading. Just checked their website.

You are correct. I’m absolutely gutted, I huge loss for Motorhomers especially Hymer owners. I last used them 3 years ago even though I live in Essex. They mended our leaky window. Such a shame all this knowledge has gone.

Ha! Another one bites the dust!
We may never know................... makes one wonder why one bothers.

On the spec for a 2015 B578 it mentions PUAL construction (page 16):

Optimal Insulating due to approved PUAL-construction with foamed walls and foamed roof (35 mm roof- and wall thickness) and frame windows
It depends on what version of PUAL Hymer used, the first one had wood in it which is what I suspect this MH has:

https://www.hymer.com/en/models/technology-plus/pual.html

The first generation of PUAL side walls consisted of an aluminium outer skin, the foam core and a high-quality plywood interior wall.
Didn't he say it was 5 years old ? Pretty sure they are grp from around 2007/8. Mine is the exterior aluminium model with ply inner walls which I think ended 2006

Exterior aluminium with ply inner up until 2016, the latest 2019 SL uses a GRP rear apart from GRP front ends Hymer have never used GRP bodywork. From 2016 the newer models inside & outside walls are aluminium. Either way there is no internal timbers in the walls.
