Going to wedding in August at San Miguel de Salinas a short distance from Torrevieja. Have come accross the following site:

Camping Florantilles
Ctra. Torrevieja
San Miguel De Salinas
3180 Torrevieja

I have no doubt some have stayed here in the past.

Views and recommendations appreciated.

Don't know about that but the old Marjal is there and everyone speaks highly of it.

Superb quiet site at the top of the salt lake..

Small bar and restaurant, clean site, spacious plots...

Stayed there last year for a few weeks before going onto the Funsters Rally at Catral...

Would I stop again...deffinate yes... I should expect it would be a bit busier and possibly noisier in the season.. but only a 10 - 15 min drive into Torrevieja town.. :thumb:

Agree with Mo, a very good site, nice atmosphere, tidy hs pitches and we got car hire for just 70 euros a week. :thumb:

BTW I dare not argue with Old mo , I might get a slap

I have stayed there long term in the winter a couple of times. Would def recommend it as a nice quiet friendly site with good size pitches (by Spanish standards) Not far from Town but we hired a car to make travel easy.

No doubt a lot busier in August

Larrynwin and Mr Jinks

You both mention car hire. Can that be done on site? Is there any other public transport close by? and is the area cycle friendly?

Many thnaks for your comments.

I think car hire is from the site. No bus service and a bit isolated without transport but lovely site, well worth a visit and stay.
We have a place nearby and go to the site for a snack and a chat to motorhomers
who are staying.

If I remember rightly, when Larry and I were there he booked it with reception..

And it was delivered and collected from same....

They speak good english, I think one of the girls is from the UK originally.. :thumb:

Cycling is OK... but like any where take care, and best use a "Dayglo" jacket/waistcoat..

Yes , Mo is correct, I asked at reception and the hire company brought and collected the car to/from site. :thumb:
Regret don't know about public transport

its close to San Miguel as well, if the roads were quieter its very walkable, but quite fast traffic and no footpaths along there so better off using a vehicle.
