Campsite water, I like peat in my Scottish Whisky not my drinking water! (1 Viewer)

We were told this was drinkable, since we had run out of bottled water we boiled it & drank it
The cassette is a little bit fragrant at the moment, so I may have to disagree

We call it cold tea. Run it through some muslin or a stocking. It'll be fine

Years ago in Aberdeen the water always came out of the tap brown in colour. Ideal for whisky but less appealing for brushing your teeth

Been like it for years apparently. Should have seen the stuff delivered to us in the Gulf, if we were lucky enough to get a shower, you came out the same colour as you went in

If you're in the back-woods of scotland it will probably be from a small reservoir rather than mains.
We had a cottage in glentrool village near newton stewart which was and the water was a lot darker at times than your picture.
