Camping Javea taken over by Meridia

Montgo is a regular challenge for the super fit. Xabia is so much more than the Arenal which is a tourist trap strip. We take our outfit (Jake) for little jaunts around and the 11km trip to Granadilla is lovely, even better if the cafe is open. Or the country route via Gato de Gorgeos to Xalo for the massive market and wine and brandy cellers. The Co-Operative probably the best, but not the cheapest. Our local Cafes include the Austrian for excellent food and prices, Fuego next door but our must visit is Esquina to be greeted with hugs from Luna. View here from a table.

La Esquina a bit expensive these days. I sit inside at the bar and chat wit the locals in the winter and have a couple of beers. But we tend to drink elsewhere with friends.

Fuego is a regular place we visit since it opened . I know the managers and staff well. We took some friends from Germany and Romania last month. Our Romanian friend voted it his favourite place we took them too, so we visited 3 times. He was a waiter for 5 years in Cyprus and rated Fuego on food, value and service .

Austrian restaurant, loved it had many a Breakfast in there. We also love our Apple strudels at a German restaurant above Gate a gorge, I called it apple struddle mountain.

Hi Eurotrotters: having read the above I believe there is another site El Naranjal close to the front of Javea. We are planning to head towards Javea mid-May, travelling and stopping on the way. Do you have any thoughts on this site as we are thinking of having a view nights there. Cheers Smudger55

I’ve been there too as well as the other one, it’s ok, good because it’s closer to the front, needed updating a little when I was there so don’t know if any has taken place since … the Javea site feels more modern and clean cut.. but I’d be happy to get in on either…👍🏼

Yes, We have been on Naranjal in our 8.4m. But that was back in the days when you could pick and choose sites and pitches.

There is Parking on our street and a service point at the bottom of our road with Water, grey and black waste. But we are a little out of town.

I will send you a PM
