Camper UK, Lincoln - Our Experience

I'm guessing you could expect a Sunday at the start of the school holidays to be quiet

And in person I can assure you! Used to be two separate organisations years back. I think they took the worst of both when it became one! A bit like FAST for software licencing! Bordering on extortion!
Yes dealt directly with [I think] PRS . Didn't , initially , realise they were on commission . First time the guy told us members of Robert Burns family received royalties . My mate was a Burns afficionado , told the guy when he found these family members to come back and see us . Never saw him again .
Second time [different venue] was quoted £750 , they settled for £160 .
Absolute chancers

I didn't know they were on commission but it doesn't surprise me. I had a run in with FAST when I was running my own business trying to tell me that I was using software illegally. I repeatedly told them that every piece of software was properly licenced. In the end I told them to come and audit me. They said thay wanted remote access to do it at which point they were told to ???? ???. A letter from my solicitor followed stating again that they were welcome to visit and audit me, but confirming that if they did not, and carried on harassing me, we would start legal proceedings for damages. Surprise, surprise, I heard nothing else.

Years ago, had similar problems with PRS when IT Manager for a company on the grounds that the company sold some audio visual stuff (hypermarket) and that we encouraged people to bring in their own records, CD's or cassettes so they could hear 'their music' on our equipment. We were already paying a not insignificant PRS licence for in-store music mainly played at Christmas. Nasty people.

I do agree with some of the OP comments. I went there, just over a year ago, when I was looking for another motorhome.
It's a big box with no obvious entrance or signage.
After the initial approach by a salesman, I was completely left alone, to the extent I thought about staying the night in a Rapido A class.
Completely different to the old pitch they had ten years previous.
