N 48.55184, E 8.49471 N 48°33'07", E 8°29'41" Thank you Mark

Garmin uses decimal format by default, so it's the firtones you have listed.

There are different ways to put in coordinates. Some satnavs will accept any, others may be more particular:

All degree: N 48.55184° E 8.49471°

Degree & minutes: N 48° 33.11” E 8° 29.68”

Degree, minutes & seconds: N48° 33” 7’ E 8° 29” 41’

There are 60 minutes in a degree (and 60 seconds in a minute).

If you are west of the meridian, the easting can be shown as negative or preceded with W.

So E -8° is the same as W 8°, E 8.49471° = W -8.49471°

Similarly above and below the equator, N 48.55184° = S -48.55184°

With ours, when you enter the address as a decimal, eg 48.55184, you need to put a degree symbol after it 48.55184°
