Camp site prices

So arrived at Corbridge THS. At Tynedale rfc
We were there lasy week for a couple of nights.
Walked into Hexham and had lunch at Wetherspoons then bus (free with pass) back.

The Italian Restaurant in Corbridge do a 3 course 'Menu del Dia' at £13each. Very nice!

Nice walk upstream on the banks of the Tyne from the traffic lights by the Bridge.

Nice beer at the micro brewery in the Town Centre.

Nice to sit and watch the cricket with a beer at the Club next door to the site. Made very welcome!

Bit grim up North!! ::bigsmile:

Did you walk along the Tyne?

We walked along the road from the roundabout, over the level crossing and joined the A695 into Hexham. There is a footway all the way with bus stops along the way to get on the bus if you want to.

You can only walk so far along the Tyne that way as there is a joining river that you cannot cross so have to follow the footpath up to the road.

Going to THS at Quex park Birchington for a few days this week £14 per night. It's a cracking site easy walk into town with pubs and eateries. You have to put up with all the parrots when they come back to roost in the evening though but they are quite at night.

It is in the middle of nowhere and not on a good bus route so a long walk to a train station or you need a car🤔🤔🤔
No problem. All those Morelos and Concordes have a runabout in the garage. ;)

Do you have access to the toilets etc when on the THS at Corbridge ?

No.. very few THS have these available but they do usually have water and waste facilities.

They must have fresh water, black and grey waste disposal and rubbish dump. Lots at schools, village halls etc will have toilets but in general they don't

As said, No there is no access to the toilets but both the Rugby and Cricket clubhouse are sometimes open so if you buy a beer, you'd be entitled to use them.

The elsan is quite private from the pitches so you could crouch over that if you wanted to. Watch out for the trains though as the line is next to the elsan::bigsmile::wasntme:

That’s why I asked as it’s at the rugby club in Corbridge usually. Which obviously does have toilets and a bar probably.
