Bargain....eh....😉

Cheers🍻

Just did two nights at Wyatts Covert as I had an appointment at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

It's £43 a night hardstanding no awning. Saturday with awning was full online.

When we arrived Mrs Moto asked if there was one and there was. Dynamic pricing wanted 50p more!!

Electricity is metered. In the end we used around £2.60 running the fridge and occasionally the kettle.

I expected metered sites to be considerably cheaper....

This is why we use CL's not sites.

Given all the "Pitch Full" / "Site Full" / "Low Availability" and only Fully Serviced pitches available they must be doing something right!:whistle2:
Yes only releasing the cheaper pitches that show full, when all the serviced pitches have been sold, allegedly :sneaky:

Coming to the end of our 4 weeks in France and as usual stayed on sites only. Most we have paid is €23 a night including EHU. That was one site only. The rest have been €17 to €20 including EHU. So basically about £15-£16 a night. It’s been fabulous 🥳🥳

We have until this year mostly used CAMC when taking the boys away, 4 nights with them, all adults now, so non members was eyewatering, using a site where the price is per pitch up to 6 people, about half the price, dislike these types of site when solo or just the 2 of us, but proving their worth for my break with the grand (children)?
So many folk used to package holidays who came into camping/caravanning during Covid, thought the prices were cheap site our family uses is, to us, extortionate, but family and their friends think itis good value for money and go several times a year.

Yes, the prices have increased by ridiculous amounts but, the way I look at it, the two clubs each cost a pound a week to join.

If either of them have a site where I want to go, I will have to pay what they ask. As mentioned, commercial sites charge per pitch so are even more expensive for solos.

It’s no longer a cheap holiday but I do like to sleep on my own pillows and use my own loo 🤷‍♀️

Since we disconnected around 1100h I was surprised to get an email timed at 1342 to say we had disconnected.

Later when at home around 1500 I clicked refund.

So guess my amazement to receive daily emails to say I am in debit by 1p, then 2p, then eventually 5p.

As it's supposed to be a trial I have emailed the provider and the club to suggest that this needs sorting.

It's wait ten days time now for a club reply.

Busy at weekends but quiet in the week. With the high cost of new caravans and Motorhomes combined with high pitch fees from the CMC and a few others only a matter of time before they kill the hobby. In the UK locating a pitch with acceptable facilities that is not super remote for under £35 is becoming very difficult.
