We are having a long weekend with friends on a site in Huntingdon. Unfortunately the weather is looking a bit on the wet side, so are looking at places to visit in the area.
Has anyone used the Park & Rides around Cambridge with a motorhome?
Thanks
Howard

You used to be able to call them and ask to have height barriers removed for you, but that is no longer the case, and they only except vehicles that fit under their barriers and in a standard space. Their barrier is about 2 meter.

There are lay-bys outside Cambridge that could be used, but longer journey in and they are used by coaches.

Lay-by.

There is a good guided busway between Huntingdon and Cambridge. Not sure if that's in reach or if there is nearby parking.

I would stop in St Ives (a bit nicer than Huntingdon) the guided bus goes to Cambridge from there. A couple of pub stops available-

We took the bus into Cambridge from St Neots. The best place to walk is to go through to Trinity Street and pay to visit Kings College. The chapel is beautiful and so are the grounds and river area.

If you call Hinchingbrooke Park there are a couple of MH spaces - down road and left - opposite main car parks. Bus from hospital to Cambridge that joins the guided busway.

Used to be able to ring bell at Trumpington park and ride and they will left barrier

We are away for 5 days and mate needs hookup so pub stops wont work, thanks anyway. We do like the Huntingdon site which is elevated and overlooks the river & flood plains.

On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
We parked at the Hinchingbrook P&R only about a month ago, no problems then.

We are looking at Cambridge Club site from Sunday the buses apparently pass the entrance đź‘Ť

I know even the mention sends some off the scale but think it’s £35 / night
