Had planned a trip there but got covid and after affects that've lasted a month now so put that on hold. Incidentally where do you stay for Edinburgh? we've always used the CAMC site and bussed in.
 
Never done it before, but swmbo still waiting for an op date (cancelled 3 times already) so zero chance of going anywhere so sorned, don't know how long for though, could be round to March so saves a few quid.

Like you we use the CAMC site but have used Mortonhall in the distant past. Bus services are great into Leith and the city and this trip we're popping up to the V&A in Dundee for the day by train. Go most years but it's a couple since we were there, some good pubs in Edinburgh as well, some shops, too, unfortunately.

I can fully understand your predicament and logic.
Each to their own, and why not?
Easy to put it back, but for our Campervan I like to take her out for occasional day trips, get the gas barbeque cooker out on a Frosty day and have some fun with the Grandapprentices cooking hot dogs.
But our circumstances are obviously different.
Enjoy whatever you do.

Im bloody desperate to get going but still got another month to wait as im not going away until Christmas good job really as half the bathroom fitting are in a box in my office waiting to get fitted.
 
We wont be away until March, but the van goes to dealer in December for a bit of work. Then we will take it out every few weeks even if only to a supermarket in another town.

I remember when she was young and our celler suite was just off High St, Kensington and everyone used to go to the Troubadour in Earl's Court.
Those were the days! 😄
 
Cannot find definitive answer:
If I sorn the MH on 4th of January and unsorn it on 5th of February does that count as a complete month?
Or
In the DVLA’s eyes, do complete months only start on the 1st of any month?

Definitive answer, you will still be charged for all of January and all of February.

No it is back dated to the first of the month, to re-sorn but when you sorn it it has immediate effect
