Hi, used to use Citi Europe all the time but that is no.longer an option.

Aire de camping-car Calais seems a great development but does not allow towing cars.

Any other stops close for eurotunnel?

Gravellines is good but only a few spaces long enough for a 7.5m motorhome and 5m trailer.

Any thoughts welcome.

We stayed at Aire de Camping-Cars du PAarc du Rives de l'Aa just a couple of click south of Gravelines last night with just four other vans, very quiet and free.

There's a free Aire at Nouvion that has space for a trailer, if that's not too far. There's a Carrefour a boulangerie and a bar all next door in one direction or another.

We normally use this aire near Gravelines at the rowing Center it’s quiet no facilities we have 7.5m + 4.5 m car trailer and you can park up fine don’t go on the grass with your drive wheels though especially if it’s wet. It’s about 20 mins from tunnel

I've stopped at Gravelines a couple of times in a 8mt MH towing a car on a trailer.
Plenty of room for even bigger.
Unless you are "must get as close to the water type".

If you have park4night you'll find this great spot, I've been parking here for over 15 years with all sizes of vans and trailers i created it for park4night last year to share with others (after I had bought a small van! The orange van in the 1st pic) 😂

Calais, 5000 Quai de la Colonne
@park4night :

We used to yse Nouvion alot but on returning earlier this year they have put up a long fence preventing acces to the large parking area. Its been removed from p4n.

Another vote for Gravelines 2 by the aqua park. If no space there, the carpark before has the height barrier swung back and it’s all hard standing.

I think there is a campsite next to the Aire in Calais

That's a shame it was a very convenient stop.
Yes it was, I have my suspicions that it might be getting converted into one of those CCP aires as it was very popular. Maybe yet another one bites the dust. 😢
