Converted caravanner!
We have the first early crossing next Tuesday. Anyone stayed overnight in the check in lanes recently? Have a couple of cheap bikes on the bike. Alternatively thinking of Falaise, if not so convenient.

We stayed on the aire at Lion-sur-Mer in March, only 10 minutes in the morning to the port.

Or Hermannville, just around the corner from Lion.

Personally I wouldn't even stop anywhere near the Caen ferry terminal, got a reputation for illegals.
Hermanville is pretty close but away from anywhere the illegals might get to.

A few years ago we slept in the car park just down from the ferry, no problems.

That’s where we are tonight - just arrived in on the 22.00 boat. It’s also our go-to overnight spot for early next day crossings. Bakery next to it opens at 7am.

Less than 15mins to drive to the terminal.

Which location were you at?

Love Falaise. It's our go to first and often last stop. There is a particular restaurant in the town we like for a first or last lunch (y) .
