20 min job. Three paella stand legs. 6 mm drill bit and six 6mill bolts with wing nuts.

Don't have problems of the Carry Chef we still use the older Global Chef which has a tripod which folds up the centre stem comes out and the gas hose is removeable weighs about twice as much as the Carry Chef range but is twice the size

Image borrowed from Ebay but gives you the size

right, in the interests of pursuing my ability to become increasingly lazy, i have modded our cadac (safari chef 2), ive fitted a quick release coupler to the unit, and drilled 3 small holes in the legs to allow them to fold over the connector, so it all fits neatly in the bag as it should, just thought i'd share, pics to follow..........

( i know, im sad )
We bought a 45o° angled connector!

We also have a Carry Chef but its just too big to easily store in our limited locker space. A Safari Chef with Carri Chef legs would be the perfect solution ;-)

Change of plan due to overengineering and faffing  plan b to follow.......

plan b nearly done, will get some pics on soon, still a wip tho..................

Looks good.Anymore details?

That looks great - and colour co-ordinated too (y)

So far (like a lot of people) we've got away with just putting the cadac on the table, but the last few times we've been away the weather wasn't good enough to eat outside so that wasn't a problem. As we get into the summer though it'd be good to be able to use the table for eating (without having to get the second one out).

What did you use in the end?

old tripod legs, drilled, threaded inserts fitted, tried it on table and not steady enough, i still need to sort an inner ting midway for better support, not necessarily required, but i'd be happier!, i think it was m5 threaded inserts in the tripod legs, and the original tripod leg nuts, will post more pics of the legs off the unit...........

see above reply, also will post more pics as i get chance, the problem is the plastic legs bend, so can be tricky to get 100% level and stable, but a ring support will fix that i hope, just gotta design it and make..............

Excellent work, and being tripod legs can I assume that each leg is extendable in order to get a perfectly level platform.

I'm surprised you didn't use a tripod that already had the supports anyway, like the below, that would have been my choice:
