Cabin fever ?

Are you a tart ...

:ROFLMAO: or pudding person?

Oooooo ! You have intrigued me.. Never heard of a Bakewell pudding ?
Love Bakewell tarts ( like any right minded person would :-) ), but what is a Bakewell pudding?

The weather has been particularly bad this last 6 weeks. Can't remember a protracted spell like this for a few years and i would know as i work outside. It's certainly made me feel more grumpy and like i wish i could hibernate. Only thing keeping me going is the anticipation of collecting our 1st motorhome in 2 weeks.

I have noticed a few snide remarks from some of late to the few threads I post on...

Especially when I have quoted wrong...

But does not worry me...... I just treat them with the contempt they deserve and usually give them one of these from the Likes, Thank you, Love it, Nice one list =

So if any one has tried to belittle me or upset me or think they are better than me and gets one of them (Dustbin, (Popcorn)... imogi`s...

You have not/will not get one over me .... cos I am not so childish as that...

So in my eyes you have made yourself look a *rick and not me...

And if the hat fit`s.............. Tough Shit..... :lips: My :moon2: ........
Think I prefer the beacon of light that is jovial old-mo :D2

Yes I have saved most peoples favourite till last:D
This should help even the most affected SAD people.
Les

Sorry never found that one funny .
I'm probably worse off in that I suffer from sad even in the sun at home, so being stuck here in winter is an absolute nightmare for me.

Love yer jokes Mo I pass them on to my mates.

Normally in Spain this time of the year but for various reasons not going until 27 December, weather getting to us but the worst thing is that my golf course is flooded and I normally play three times a week.

I refuse to let the winter blues set in!

I still have a week's Christmas shopping in Bristol, visits to family over Christmas and a Funster New Year to look forward to. Might fit in a trip to see my son in Oxford before that too :)

I think Jaws and Old Mo are right. I have noticed that more and more threads become a pissing competition - who can have the last word, who can belittle a poster, tit for tat posting of similar threads.

I am all for banter and love a little micky taking, but lately it just seems to turn nasty. May be I am becoming soft, but these days I prefer to read the forum but not contribute as much as I did. :(

I have got so much out of this forum over the years and have been fortunate to meet and get to know some lovely folks, a few of which have become good and firm friends. We will go out of our way to meet up with them when possible, and will always offer help if we can.

So yes I am SAD, sad that the forum does not seem the be the friendly welcoming place to used to be, or so it seems to me anyway. ???

They do sometimes and its depressing, But rest assured I’m on their case. Its easy to focus on them and forget we have a minimum of 1500 posts a day here and even on a bad day 1475 of those posts are nice yy

You are right of course, there are many posts and threads that stay nice and friendly. I suppose the nature of people is that they have to get their 2 pennies worth in, rightly or wrongly and a great thread can be completely ruined and side tracked by disagreements, it's a shame.

A few just love to post angrily. A sneer or a "take that" as they hit "Post Reply"
These people should wind me up more than they do, but In my mind's-eye they are a pitiful sight sat alone in a grey vest and underpants putting people right on the internet. Poor sods. :D
LOL. Jim, I resemble that. ? Haha

It isn't Brexit - it's the no Brexit that is the problem. The Eton/Oxford bankers still rule the UK, rhe EU and Washington.
And when we have the next general election the situation could still remain the same if we end up with a hung parliament.

Hang the bloody lot of them...:nod::nod:

Lets get some young blood to do what we want...

S A D has taken hold of me early this year, notwithstanding that I have not used the Homie since August! What with Son having holidays and CPC Courses, The 93 year old belligerent MIL being her usual self demanding weekly visits from HID , 100mile round trip! I am currently serving penance with the paintbrush!
Just had the Alde fluid changed, at least I could pretend I was away.
Roll on some settled weather
Isn't 'belligerent' a fantastically descriptive word....up there with 'curmudgeonly' :D :D

I went to the Bakewell Tart shop and they sold both, when I asked the difference they said that the Pudding was made with puff pastry and the Tart with shortcrust pastry but that the filling was the same in both. Obviously, I had to get one of each to check!

I preferred the Pudding and even though they had the same filling I found the Tart to be sweeter, the Tart also had flaked almonds on top.

bakewell pudding is lovely, in fact a chippie just a few miles from me does a goodly lipsmacking portion with hot custard to takeaway, haven't been for a while so thanks for the memory nudge.. (y)

( they also do gypsy tart too, yum, yum)

Take THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always change my vest and underpants before going on the internet . MY MUM told me to do it in case I got hit by a bus.
What annoys me is looking out the window and seeing my motorhome sitting there, unloved. So we go and sit in it with the heater on and pretend we are somewhere else.

I have no excuse as we were lucky enough to go away in October ... but I’m missing being in the van and missing having something to plan for.

I was in bad fettle this weekend despite weather being good and having finished all my reports. Nothing seemed to go quite right.

Never mind, came up with a plan to spend a night away in the van when we pick it up from it’s hab check in December ... weather dependent of course. Then we might start planning February week up north.

Hip hip hooray - I'm just off to take the van out of storage! Yeah! :dance2:

To get a new pair of tyres fitted and the aircon seen to.

Maybe a snowflake.
No bloody chance !..
The words 'on top' would indicate that
a) they are somehow not actually on the floor so too scary
b) might indicate that something was below and therefore subjugated to the will of the party on top and that is slavery.. The mere thought of all this would get them scuttling off to their 'safe place' where thumb sucking and feet stamping is the norm :-)

You tart ! LOL !

No so keen on the tarts actually, or the pudding. :ROFLMAO:
