C1 license

Hi all, I’ve applied for the C1 category to be added to my license, I got yesterday, a new photo card license back but it doesn’t say provisional on it anywhere. The only difference I can see from the old one is that this license is only valid for 2.5 years.
Have I got a provisional one?

I have not done the theory or practical tests yet, just the medical and filled in the forms and sent to the DVLA

I dont think there is an online option. The lady who answered could see where they were in system and asked when I was travelling abroad . I think they can move them up if you give a travel date.

OK I would agree that theres not much difference between driving a 3.5t mh and 4t one but thats a different argument.

An argument I wish someone would have. Seems rediculous to base these classes on weight when really the skill required is about size.

No there isn't John but you can go on the dvla got website and check your licence details to see if it has been renewed.
When I was awaiting my renewal ,my licence expired and was on section 88

With postal interruptions and delays the DVLA web site is probably the best place to watch.

I think there are now enough Motorhomes to treat them as a separate item and not put them alongside Commercial vehicles. Take them out of things like go box and make them all class 2 on the autoroutes etc, a tag being classe 4 is a complete nonsense
