When we bought our MH last year, it was equipped with two 13kg butane bottles.
When we went to Portugal in February there were two cold nights when there was very little gas pressure, as if the bottle was almost empty. Was this due to the butane freezing?
We had problems with the gas regulator at the same time. After replacing the regulator we had no more problems but the nights were not as cold.
The two nights which were cold only went down to -1 or -2 so not mega cold.
Thanks in advance for advice and information.

I do have 2 refillable 6kg Gasit bottles in the gas locker but nothing to connect BBQ to. It thee an additional bit I can get so I can use the BBQ attached to them?? The locker is on the "wrong" side of the MH as well but I could put up with that.

yeah.. in the UK it's about £30 for an exchange bottle..(£50 without exchange)
Gas weight : 2.75kg.. about 5.5lt............. £5.45 PER LITER !!

now if that aint rip off ... I don't know what is, and some say Calor are expensive and a rip-off...
compared to CampingGaz they are mere amateurs

Place in South Molton charged 21 for a 907n refill yet down the road it was £31 ????
20€ here for a refill.

Been using propane for 20 years, ever since one november night at -5c saw me having sandwiches for tea with steaks in the fridge (which was warmer than outside)

We had the Butane problem in Spain a few years ago. Bl**dy freezing and it was our last night/morning too.
We had run out of our UK gas and were dependent on a 907 Bottle.
Fortunately we were on a site so I went to the amenity block, got a bucket of hot water and dropped (carefully) the 907 into the bucket.(complete with reg. and pipework)
Result! the 907 started 'gassing and gave us enough to get the heat up and the kettle boiled.

I know it's three months since you asked this question, but it didn't get answered here then.

In case you still need to know, yes, there is a BBQ outlet available from several sources, including Gasit themselves (when they have them in stock).
