Busby - what’s it like in Spain for motorhomers?

Off topic but isn’t it unattractive for people to wear masks under their noses?.

It does my head in

Either wear a f’cing mask or don’t

Sometimes it's a choice of wearing it properly and not being able to see where you're going because your glasses have steamed up or pulling it down a little and actually being able to see, at least when you can see you can keep a bit of distance between yourself and others.

Here's what happened to us when driving across the border from Spain back into Portugal recently....GNR were stopping all vehicles on the Portugal side of the border....

GNR officer to us: Good afternoon, where have you been?
Me: Mercadona and Lidl
GNR: (rolls eyes) No, I mean where in Spain have you come from?
Me: oh, Ayamonte
GNR: Are you English? (We're driving a UK plated car)
Deb: No
Me: Yes! She means yes, we're English but have Portugese residency....
GNR: (looks confused) ...Ok...
Our Dog: starts growling at the officer
Me: oh don't worry she's friendly
GNR: (steps back slightly away from our car)....Right....have you got any gas?
Me and Deb look at each other, no idea what he means or why he's asking that question...
Us: Err.....no?
GNR: (is clearly now fed up with us and wants rid of us, is thinking what's up with these foreign weirdos??)...Off you go....waves us through.

The next time we crossed, a couple of days later, I swear it was the same officer, as soon as he looked at us he just waved us through without stopping us :LOL:

We have been over into Spain twice since the border opened, not seen any GNR or other stopping anyone. I don't think they are monitoring all the time, just random checks.

We have the same here in Alhama de Murcia....rules are enforced no matter what visitors might think......

It's not the visitors in Tenerife, its the locals..... Very few visitors here.
