Bummer!!! It doesn’t fit in the new van!

I think that is a valid point you make and after reading a few posts on here I might have to swap the 14 for an 11. I’ll give Autogas a ring?
Sad, because it is, as you say a "bummer" but maybe for once the "Safer" option?. Win some, lose some. But stay safe. (y)

I think the top of the locker will break long before any damage to the hoses.
I would be more concerned about the regulator being lower than the bottle top. I would definitely fit a couple of filters and carry a spare bottle top regulator with a hose to bypass the bulkhead regulator if needed.

If going to Autogas to swap the bottle ask about the reg. If it was raised upto where that sticker is and you had 2 bottles the same height you'd be a lot closer to the recommended setup.

Another member said Autogas shifted theirs when queried. And filters seem to getting more popular. I fitted one a week or so back.

I quite agree with you. (y) However in the time honoured fashion of "Dirty Harry" "Are you feeling Lucky?". My concern actually is with, not the hoses, they are flexible But the 90deg Bend fitting on the top of the vessel, The structural weakness of such is debatable under the best of conditions in my experience. In service in marine environments I have seen more failures of 90deg bends that straight fittings. I don`t know Why, just that I had more busted ones than any other?. Paranoia?.

It’s in, it fits, there’s clearance, what’s the problem. I’d be inclined to fit some foam pipe insulation or similar to act as a cushion if you’re concerned about the pipes/fittings coming into contact. It looks like a non starter to try and get the regulator higher than the outlets. Long looping pigtails will sort it.

See Post #34. IF the clearance is big enough OK. BUT? The securing straps hold only in one plane. Any vertical movement leading to contact will be taken by the upper plastic? which (If like mine) may well be hard up against the inner structure will have little or no "give". Something I found when fitting the BBQ pipework. It`s up to the O-P. but I would Personally Look for an alternative.

Unfortunately there is NO clearance, the elbow as Pete says is right up against the top (I couldn’t get a fag paper between them! I’m taking on board the longer pigtails though, even replacing the 14 with an 11. I have a LOT to learn!
Thanks for all your input guys?

A jigsaw some glass matting & resin, sorted. :giggle:

If the bottom of the locker is alloy you could use my preferred 'lump hammer' method (not on the cylinder though) and see if you can gain extra space by tamping the locker base down a bit ... carefully! :giggle:

Oh and definitely get longer hoses regardless of what cylinders you have as they do need to drop below the reg height to keep any nasty contaminants out of it and in the hoses.

Update, I had a faff about at the weekend and have a question. The 14 was my No1 bottle, and 11 my No2, is there anything stopping me changing these round, (They have different colour valve taps) so my 11 is my No1? Reason I ask is although it’s a tight fit, with my 14 being No1 and having the T piece on it made it a tighter fit (if that makes sense) now the T piece would be on the 11 as that would be my No1 bottle the 14 goes in easier (although it still grazes the top of the locker) would this be alright?
I take on board the pigtails, reg and filters.

Shouldn’t think it will matter if you swap the bottles they will work ok you’ll just be filling and emptying a different bottle first.?

No problem at all doing this, I had two no 1 cylinders and turned one into a no 2 cylinder so doing it the other way shouldn't make any difference at all. Just make sure you check to see if any washers need replacing due to you putting the pipes on and taking them off again.
