Building a motorhome garage

Would struggle to survive here too!

4x4 timber bedded into concrete blocks and bricks, structural heavy duty aluminium roofing system with 35mm multi wall polycarbonate (strong enough to walk on).
Oh and very windy in this part of Scotland as well.
Survived many storms over the past 20 years.
 
rrusty, it's pretty nice solution. Anyway, if I would want to build something new near my house, I would hire professional builders for that purpose. Hiring a builder in London, nowadays, is not so hard anymore. A lot of firms offer their well-known projects, where you can see the most relevant to your house and ask them about it.
 
@two Any pictures? How much did the structure cost?
Sorry for the delayed response.
The structure was about £12k (10yrs ago). Cannot remember the base (maybe £3k). Then electrical work..
If you go for steel clad (many choices of colour) get roofing material that's lined to stop condensation.
