BST Hyde Park how to get there for a concert?

We use airbnb, you don’t need to know london, you can get everywhere easily by bus or tube. It is pay by contactless card now. Here is a quick search for places for 4 centrally but you could serch further out west.

Last time that I took the car but that was a while ago, I used Justpark.com and found somewhere near a tube station outside the inner lez. Times have changed though and the newer congestion charges need checking.
Another suggestion is to use airbnb to find places including parking in Oxford (very quick very frequent bus service to London called the Oxford Tube). Students are always going up to London and it must run back late at night, says on website runs day and night. There are also stops along the way where you might find something like a travel lodge

You could stay in a youth hostel, we did this summer to go to watch cycling at the commonwealth games .

The Oxford tube is also a good idea as per Riverbankannie it does run all night and you can park in Oxford at the park and ride where you get on it.

HOW MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's posh really really posh. But it is or was full of stars ( famous people) I preped puddings for the likes of Sammy Davis, rod Stewart, 2 Ronnie's, Chris evert- Lloyd, Martina navratilova and lots of Arabs and Jewish customers. Amongst others.

The St Giles Hotel Heathrow (Feltham) is across the road from the train station which goes to Waterloo, it's relatively inexpensive (for the area) some airlines put up passengers there if they have been delayed, not posh but if you just need somewhere to sleep should be okay. Quite a few rugby fans stay here when big games are on at Twickenham as it's just two stops on the train.

Also there is the Atrium Hotel at Hatton Cross, that's across the road from the tube station picadilly line which would take you to Hyde Park, but not sure what the parking situation would be there.

Thanks for the suggestions and the banter! I saw him at Old Trafford and the atmosphere was fantastic. Everyone singing along.
This is his only European date next year. Splashing the cash, because, who knows whether he will tour again.

But max £200 for the hotel I think.

I cant take the motorhome because I don't have 4 belted seats.

I have looked at Airbnb too, just don't know the geography.

Oh, and I bought cancellation insurance lol.

There used to be a lot of hotels used by Coach groups just off Holland Park Ave and slightly cheaper towards Hammersmith, so it might be worth looking there as it is on a direct bus/tube route?

Thanks everyone. I have booked the Belmont hotel in Sussex Gardens for £175. Still looking at other options, because I can cancel free.

As a Londoner for the last 45 years, if all you are intending on doing is going to the concert, then your best bet is to stay somewhere on the edge of London and commute in.

The two major stations that are walking distance from Hyde Park are Paddington and Victoria
Check what time the concert ends
(and then add an hour for encours and the time it takes to get 100,000 out of a park)

Then look for trains and where they go and then pick a hotel or campsite down the line from there.

It may also be worth looking at the new Elizabeth Line, however be aware bits of it are still under construction, so it does not run on Sundays and nor does it run end to end without changing yet.

They let rooms during the summer, and it's close to Hyde park, and used to be cheap.

Say Billy Joel on Friday night at BST Hyde Park.
The gig was amazing, he is a consummate performer 650000 strong choir lol. All old stuff, but he still has a great voice. And a fabulous band.

All ages, 2 teenage girls next to us were big fans. And hardly any tattoos on show. Unlike Bodrum two weeks ago. Not sur3 what that signifies.

The Belmont was a great location, and reasonable I'd use it again.
Check out Remember Monday too, great support. I found Daryl Hall a bit underwhelming though.

Anyone else there?

Sadly, time is against him for another tour, I'd love to go to Madison Square Garden before he ends his residencey, but very expensive for a concert!! He has announced he will stop after 150 shows.

A few years back I was going for a Stones concert, from Cardiff.

Used Hotels.com and found a room walking distance from the Park, it was nervously cheap, £35ish, no food. Booked two nights, before and after thinking if it was really grim I could come home after the event. The room was pretty much a bed with a shower box, but I didn't need anything more.

I’ve never understood why people spend a fortune on a hotel when all I need is a clean comfy bed and a shower.

I spend next to no time in a hotel and eat out as well 😊

Sounds like you had a great time

Went to BST to see Streisand, not exactly a youngster but what a show. Arrived at Paddington and stayed at a reasonable 3star hotel on the Bayswater Road so able to do all on foot.
