:helptitanic: IT COULDN'T HAPPEN TO A NICER BUNCH OF GUYS!!!!! I tried to buy a motorhome from Brownhills, Newark. However the salesman was so unbending and unyielding, that it was apparant that any negotiation was out of the question. He basically couldn't care less if he made a sale or not - his take it or leave it attitude was an experience!!.
I eventually bought my van from Marquis Motorhomes.
I got the trade in I wanted, plus a tank of diesel, a Status aeriel (fitted), a years free Road Tax and the first habitation service free (the last two were because of a mix up in delivery date). The staff were pleasant, apologetic for the error and generally made me feel like a "proper customer".

:restmycase:

We did business with Marquis twice, and agree with your opinion. They were very helpful when we had gearbox problems - not their fault that the transmission specialist was rubbish (they don't use him any more I believe). A good team.

cant see the management raising 24mil to buy the place, and then walk away from all warrenty work.

I think the message is VERY VERY clear.

If your thinking of buying ANYTHING from Brownpiles....DONT!!:Eeek:

If your motorhome is in for repair at Brownpiles....go and get it back NOW!!:Eeek:

If youve order a motorhome from Brownpiles....cancel the order and get yourmoney back....dont delay do it today!!:Eeek:

If you work for Brownpiles.....get yourself down to the job centre, oh yes and book a course on Good Customer Relations and Care before you start sending out your CV, during interviews tell the interviewer that the best thing you learnt during your time at Brownpiles was how NOT to treat customers....it will stand you in good stead for the next job opportunity

Called at Marquis Preston on Sunday they had a large banner on a Swift motorhome
'wanted caravan and motorhome fitters and technicians-apply within'

Looks like they had wind of what was happening and are looking for more staff.

I thought that Brownhills had a prior MBO approx 2003?
What has happened since, have they lost all their money and also the financial group who invested then?
