Thank you for the update, but I won’t get the BritStops book again and can’t think of a bigger waste of resources than the huge yearly book, how much it must cost to produce and, to me, what the impact must have on the environment.

Got enough books already in the van, what with C&MC, National Trust, English Heritage etc, then don’t want another one. especially at the size of it. It’s all a shame, as businesses the likes of NT and English Heritage have excellent websites, but still produce books, all be it much smaller and easier to use.

Strange that you are happy to carry books for those big businesses who have developed their websites to the point where they are no longer needed, but you are not prepared to do the same to support a small business who are trying to develop theirs, they need the support to develop it to the same level, I shall get the book and keep it ready for those times when there is no signal to use the app, which is quite often in the UK !!

I love Britstops and I like the book and use it more than the app. I find the format of the book works well and is easier than when it was tall and narrow.
There are plenty of other options for those who don’t want to use Britstops, but I like many of the non-pub stops, some at least of which are only available through Britstops and who check your membership details when you arrive.
Horses for courses, eh.

What do any of you think of britstops ?

It doesn’t get great reviews on the App Store so is it worth getting ?

I have had just as much success by checking for pubs with large car parks on google earth and then phoning them.
There are hundreds of pubs that will allow overnighting that are not in the scheme.
Also, I have never been asked to show Brit Stop 'credentials' to gain access so makes the idea of a fairly expensive 'exclusive club' rather pointless.
Not sure I will renew.
