You must keep a spare set of keys for the vehicle at the home address.

Just lookin through my uk breakdown cover,and seen this clause,I would have thought it would be logical to take spare keys with you unless you have more than 2 sets of keys.

We take both sets of keys when we go away in the van. You would be stuck if you were anywhere and lost your keys!

Can you say which specific section of the terms that is stated please. I am unable to find it.

I always carry the spare keys it would seem silly to leave them at home when touring

I wonder what the point of that clause is!

What if you are say in John o groats ( in my case close to 700 miles from home ) and there is nobody left at home how will they access the spare keys!

I think the age restriction is 20 years but that was as I was scanning for the keys point.

Well my van is 22 years old , I couldn’t see any age restriction on mine

It may have been the RAC policy as I thought the clubcare was with them.

Further reading policy I can see no age restriction,the only thing the vehicle insured and accepted by us.
It also has the date of manufacture in the proposal form.

Just by coincidence,my insurance is up for renewal next week and also breakdown,so had Al look on Rac arrival.Got a webcast response to my age of vehicle question

The RAC may well have different conditions on their own policy to those offered through partners such as the club.

I seem to recall there was similar with the Nationwide account, fewer restrictions than the provider had when going direct.
