BREAK IN!

A couple of YouTube vids for you to show the device that Tony was linking too.

Blank Shotgun shells are NOT waterproof, it might be ok on a shed or garage though.

A few of these strategically placed might put off opportunists  :

Yes I always recommend the Henry Alarm mines.
Those blanks are dear in that link? We pay 12,50€ here for 25
Very profound, so do I take you do not lock your house, cars or motorhome ?
Not when I'm at home here I don't .Wife even leaves doors unlocked overnight for friends to use the other bathroom/shower.:giggle:

I simply chose the first sensible link from a Google search. Bit far to come to buy them in Spain though & shopping around is limited by being unable to post. Unless one anticipates lots of trouble a dozen should last a long time. Just looked up your recommended supplier:

The compound i keep my truck in was broken in to.

They wore paper suits and balaclavas.

Smashed the windows on the land owners Bedford MJ camper, tried to hotwire it but failed.

Smashed the windows on a year old John Deere, tried to hotwire it but failed.

Successfully hotwired a JBC telehandler, made offf through the feilds. Drove it into a bog, got it stuck and legged it. Old bill reckon they would've used to to smash and grab a ATM.

Loads of cameras and lazers got installed the next day.

He got trackers put on everything aswell.

Cost him a fortune.

Anyone got a recommendation for cheapish tracker for mine?

Absolute scum, if i catch them up there again I'll end up in jail ???
How do you know they were wearing paper suits and balaclavas ?

Doubt they would use the handler for that...... Nothing more than a joy ride.
If that was their intention why have a go at the Bedford first.
Police are clueless.... 2+2=5

Put 2 trackers on. They wont expect that if they find one.

My brothers motor bike was stolen, they found both the trackers inside 5 minutes.
However they did not find the third ......

Still managed to do a couple of grand's worth of damage though when the ground off both the locks (in broad daylight in the middle of London)

Cash machines get done like that alot round here. Just because i wrote it in that order doesnt mean it happened in that order.

You obviously know more than the police.

People dont break into compounds armed with tools for a joy ride.

Considering the comments I asked JohnsCross if they could fit these to my 2016 Fiat cab. After considering they agreed that they could but pointed out that, if someone wanted to break in, when the cab doors became less vulnerable, there were other means of entry, specifically the motorhome windows.
They were not trying to dissuade me, but questioned the value compared with the cost (if carried out by professionals). I stress that they did not proffer advice.
For now, I think I will stick to my strap across the cab stopping the cab doors being opened.

First post so be kind please..................... do these trackers need unhindered access to the satellites or can they "see" through body panels? Thinking of either installing under a wardrobe or under the roof panel and hard wiring it. Thanks

Mine is fitted under 15 mm of MDF inside a metal roofed vehicle, I presume it gets a signal through the windows, before you install it you need to let it get a fix with nothing above it, once it knows where in the world it is, it works fine in my installation.

I would make up some long leads and try it in different locations until you find somewhere it works well but is also sufficiently hidden and then hard wire it in.

Regardless of which order, what were they planning in doing with an ancient motorhome. I've had starter motors with more pulling power.
If they started the tele handler why bother with two other vehicles and if they couldn't start the old tractor..... Not the most sophisticated wiring in the world.

When these threads come up about trackers I always think about getting one (or two). However, you can buy tracker detectors on Ebay for about £35 so isn't it likely that thieving scumbags will use one ? Then cause damage ripping it out?

Scrap the aluminium body and export the 4x4 military vehicle?..... Thats generally what happens to vehicles when they get stolen?

The tractor is brand new.
There were various Immobilisers on the Bedford which is why they didnt start it.
