Brake light not working on Thule bike carrier 9502

I had a similar issue with a different model Thule. In the end, I decided the cheapest fix was to buy a trailer light bar on ebay and lash this over the top of the original light set with cable ties. Works fine and much cheaper than the £90 replacement part or garage repair, I thought.
I thought about this too but need to identify where the fault is otherwise could end up with the same issue. My garage is £50.00 an hour labour costs if it has to go in.

If you have AA or RAC call them out, as the lights are a legal requirement it’s a breakdown.

If not having the light working makes the vehicle unusable, it would be classed as a breakdown. Just because it’s on your drive doesn’t matter.

I'm not sure it classes the motorhome as unusable as the other 3 brake lights do work. One at the top and one large one on each side. Does not matter now as its sorted. Onwards and upwards.

That, of course, depends on level of cover.
They'll only attend if you have home call.
