Hey,
So I just picked up a converted van and it's got some niggles to sort out.

The sliding door to the living space won't lock with the central locking. I tried to look on youtube but there's not much out there. It's making contact with the contact pad, but what is actually doing the locking?

Is there a solenoid acting on the pulley at the bottom of the door which should lock the door?

but are they clean & actually making good contact?

yes it is a solenoid & usually it is built in to the actual door locking mechanism. If you have an internal catch to lock/unlock the door that would normally be where the locking mechanism is & the solenoid. -You also need to trace the cables from the door contact plates right up to the solenoid for connection & make sure all is clean

Does it lock with the button on the dash?
Do you have the three button remote?
Does it lock if you use the key instead of the remote in the driver's door?
