Bought myself another toy

Love it, if I had the money I would get something like that👍
it would be great to get out green laning on, especially as a lot are now restricted bridleways.

When I worked in Bermuda the owner used to go to work on a Uni cycle in the 60s.
Honest!

I regularly do a 10 mile run on my mountain unicycle & I'm a pensioner! (I've also done the same run on the one I'm pictured on)

My longest distance in one day was 58 miles (London to Brighton)

I'm normal, everyone else is just weird 🙂

I like the colour, bit more stealth than mine :giggle:

The day I passed my test I never rode a bike again till we got the van and thought maybe electric bikes would be good, we both only rode them twice, never again, then sold them on here just like new.
Should never be allowed on the road, danger to themselves and everyone else around them.
Chaser it’s not the bikes that are a danger, it’s the way peaple ride them and that goes for road bikes, mountain bikes and motorbikes. The same as your tractors could be dangerous in the wrong hands. (y)

Tractors are very dangerous in the right hands, know quite a few that have lost fingers, arms, legs and even a couple their lives but the difference is it has to be done, rideing a bike among other heavy machinery for fun, doesn't.

Please don't turn this into an argument, just my view, why the hell does anyone ride push bikes, when they have a license to drive something with an engine.

Good idea let's not turn it into an argument.
What I don't understand is why comment or even look at a post. That you admit to have no interest in?
I also struggle as to how you can't get somebody else's passion or hobby.
When your clearly passionate about collecting scrap iron.

Nice old school cycle.
I have a Commencal Meta 5.5
I thought of selling but.
Who wants 26 " wheels now?
Who wants triple ring up front?
Would rather hang it in garage with the other bikes I can't sell because nobody will appreciate them like myself

Rule 25// The bikes on top of your car should be worth more than the car.Or at least be relatively more expensive.

 that's great (y) easily achievable these days.

Closely followed rule 11 ....disgraceful behaviour from the former cycling legend .......😉

Sean Kelly, being interviewed after the ’84 Amstel Gold Race, spots his wife leaning against his Citroën AX. He interrupts the interview to tell her to get off the paintwork, to which she shrugs, “In your life the car comes first, then the bike, then me.” Instinctively, he snaps back, “You got the order wrong. The bike comes first.

All this talk of bikes reminds me of a story my father told me after I was knocked off my bike and went over a wall into a field.
Apparently his Grandfather was in an early cycle club in Manchester and rode a penny farthing. On one of there days out he lost control on a steep hill and hit a pot hole throwing him over a wall.
I though it hurt when I did it but it must have worse coming from the heigh of a penny farthing saddle.

I love my MTB and have been on some amazing routes in the Alps. The photo below shows one of the routes over a Col near Briancon. It was about 27 miles but included 1200m of ascent and took me 5 hours.

I was absolutely knackered and I am fairly fit. If I used an ebike, I could have done that twice in the same time and enjoyed every second of it.

I was slowly going up a route the year after and a family came past me at speed, all of them on ebikes. All of them were laughing, talking and having fun. I was also having fun, but was a sweaty aching mess. I like that, my kids absolutely don’t! I suddenly got why people love ebikes.

It looks an amazing bike and I am very jealous. Give me a tow if you ever see me. :-)

Have you downloaded the “Light Blue” app?
You link the Bluetooth to the bike change the wheel dimensions and off you go.
Can get up to 36mph😬😬
I'll check that out - thanks - obvs I'll only use it off road and on private land !!

That’s a bit like saying “why the hell play golf, hitting a little white ball around seeing how many times you have to hit it to get it into a hole, why dont you just go for a walk instead”
“Whats the point of table tennis, hitting a ball back and forth over a chuffing net, tables are meant for eating off”
