Hi everyone, paid deposit on motorhome today. Pick it up on Monday August 10th.
Thought I'd start looking for somewhere close to us for first trip (Lakes, Whitby, Seahouses, Yorkshire) everywhere I have looked at seems to have no availability.
Any recommendations preferably with clubhouse/cafe/restaurant.
Cheers

Son who is borrowing my motorhome this weekend found zero availability in the Lakes. When I looked there were three stopover places near the Lakes not any pithing th National Park. then we wonder where the foreign visitors are !

Have a look at this guys Youtube channel. He has done a series of 16 videos covering everything you will be told in your handover. They're pretty good, you'll learn the basics

Thank you Wee Bold Davy! I’ve just watched all of them back-to-back; even the one that weren’t entirely relevant to my prospective van. (I did skip over the completely irrelevant ones: I’m not that interested in knowing where to find them near Auckland airport), but they were very useful.

Just an idea... I printed out the measurements of our motorhome and keep it under sun vizor.... always handy in case you get nervous or forgetfull !!! Enjoy your new toy.... keep saving though because there is always "something" needs doing or you want !!!

Thanks. Can't fit the mh on drive, so not really an option. The guy who we bought from is going to give us a thorough handover and he ensured us he was a total novice when he bought the mh three years ago.
I'm sure we'll forget loads of what he shows us, but I know we only have to ask on here.
Cheers
Try to record it if you can, our moho wont fit on our drive also, we use storage at £450/year. When you are being given the hand over, make sure you pay particular attention to the heater controls, they confuse most people, after 8 months I still need to get the manual out for the heater.
