Booked up.

Ostrich head in the sand time.
Soon you will know what you voted for.
:xrofl::xrofl::xrofl::xrofl::xrofl::xrofl::xrofl:
I am sure some Remainers will only be happy if we leave and fail,,Very Patriotic,,BUSBY:xgrin::xgrin:

So why don't the remoaners stop bleating and calling for another go at the vote and let the decision of the majority be sensibly discussed, and hopefully we can have a future that works for all of us

I got chastised for calling them REMOANERS the other day on here,,Who cares a sh.t..BUSBY:xrofl::xrofl:

I'm sure you'll be fine.
I know Thiviers well, lovely part of France. I used to live near Brantome.
Enjoy!

Well I wont call you an unpleasant name or hide a swear.
All I ask is we don't call each other silly names and be nice.
Pity some people cant do this.
Suppose a forum is made up of all sections of society.
Anyway.
Happy new year to all motorhomers and hope 2019 is a great year for travelling.

This is my last response to you. YOU DON'T KNOW THAT I VOTED LEAVE so please stop making stupid. assumptions ..

We all know you voted remain. You told us years back in other threads.
@Jands wasn't referring to how you voted but what I pulled you up on the thread the other night.Your propensity to make snide remarks as you have done yet again on here.. In the pubs I used to use you'd be hit with a glass ashtray.

Pick up your toys please and go to bed.

Does annoy me, I post a new thread saying much I am looking forward to going back to France in the new year and because of certain people I am now a pariah.. I give up.

Know how you feel about giving up.
I blocked the bellylocker threads because I got fed up with the silly childish name calling, found it ruined my karma, got fed up with the Brexit arguments and point scoring, was all good then on the chat forum someone calls people who wished to stay moaners.
I Hate that insult with a passion.
Maybe this forum and people who add to it aren't fun.
Does definitely put me off rallies and meeting fellow motorhomers.

I don’t understand the comments re. 90 days. We have a house and car in France, we have owned it since 2001. We have always understood that we have been pushing our luck when we have stayed for more than 90 days. That is the point that we SHOULD register our vehicle in France and we should be classed as residents. As our house is in a tiny village and we have never caused anyone to complain about our conduct we are allowed to come and go as we please. Unless we have got it wrong the time limit will not change, the change will be at the borders who will control our travel limits.

It's a real shame @Jands because I love this forum and most of the forum members, I do sometimes overstep the mark in some people's minds but never intentionally tried to insult genuine posters. The ones that do keep trying to bait me I just use the 'ignore' button to shut them out., much easier and make the forum fun and informative..

@Casper46 I thought it was 180 days & then you're considered a resident so change your vehicle reg, register for income tax etc. But as you know there are lots of Brits who have lived full time in France for years and still have UK registered cars. I don't think the French will change anything and if it's an EU ruling of 90 days will the French really take any notice? I wouldn't worry and carry on enjoying your French home.

I only ask because every static / residential site I’ve enquired at in the uk don’t allow it
Certainly no problem at Le Repaire at Thiviers. Parked beside my static most of last year when not touring, site owner even helped me put my truma chimney back on when I knocked it off on a tree when backing into the space beside my static...

Your posts are a tad condescending to some of us who voted remain though - even a tad offensive old bean! :xsmile:

No offence meant, just my opinion of course! :xgrin:

My apologies as no offence is meant to be personal. I say this as a remainer to another, old chap .

Your apologies ere of course gratefully accepted my dear fellow (y)

As a favour (from one polite Funster to another) I would though very much appreciate it if you would refrain from the use of that rather tacky term "remoaner" in future correspondence please :xsmile:

Thank you and a very happy New Year :xgrin:

OK,. Happy travels to you. Old chap.

Don't think it's got anything to do with fake news or remoaners has it?

We (the UK) voted to leave the EU. Ergo the freedom of movement within the EU granted to citizens of EU member states can no longer apply when we are no longer a member state, deal or no deal. So the 90 day limit applies, surely?

It will unless some alternative is agreed.

If Khizzie stays in France 90+ days and/or simply wants to, registering as a resident in France would cancel the 90 day rule - for France.

The deal as advertised by the EU a.t.mo is that anyone registered as a resident of an EU country prior to 'transition' will be able to stay in that country indefinitely, post December 31 2020 - The transition period is scheduled to end on this date, although that could be changed, according to the draft withdrawal treaty.

Residents of a country of which they are not a citizen [eg a Brit passport holder in FR/SP etc] may leave the country of residence for up to 5 years and not lose the right to residency.

The sad bit about all that is that the loss of the present 'freedom of movement' across the EU will still apply to a resident leaving their country of res into another EU country. So, as a Brit res of FR, you won't be able to spand 90+ days in SP, for example. The only other country in which you could spend more than 90 days would be back in Blighty.
