Hello fellow funsters
Bonfire night is approaching and unfortunately we have a small dog sasha who is petrified of fireworks, I’m living in Sunderland and last year me and my partner went to kielder forest to get away from bonfires and fireworks for a few days and yes it worked no problem with noise but fancy a change this year, has anyone any ideas or who has stayed at any remote sites within a 50 mile radius of Sunderland to avoid the noise? I can go off grid but the missus prefers sites, any suggestions appreciated.

Lady Cross campsite - 7 miles from Whitby - about 55 miles from Sunderland.
Great site set in woodland. Nearest village (Egton) is 1.1 miles away.
Great facilities and a 2 mile nature walk. Dog friendly.

We are going to cmc site Wharfedale near Grassington, been going for the very same reason.
You can hear a few fireworks in the distance but nothing to bother us or sox the dog.
Cheers Dave

We go to Hargill House CMC site off A66 near Scotch Corner - Its not perfect and there is some noise in the distance but bearable. But this shuts before bonfire night, but is open the weekend before which I find is the worst time for us.

Our Lab is very sensitive to bangs of any sort.

Our last Lab was the same but would bark at every firework that went off. We tried CL's in the lakes. hotels in the remote lakes - worse than at home. Tried a CL near Amble - not great either.
