It’s official, we are now Billy no mates.
Took Sophie fishing this afternoon and she caught 40 fish. :reel:

No Ken, I wouldn’t do that. I told the truth and even I am a fair weather fisherman now. :)

Evening all, done a days work since leaving a great meet o_O and great it was, thanks to Lisa, Denise, Terry and Bob and all others involved in the set up and take down

Having been involved with the take down of 2 of the awnings I marvel at those who put them up, surely twice as hard as taking down and they did four of them, respect peeps (y)(y) and massive thanks (y)(y)

many thanks and looking forward to next year already, can we have another 'bigger' surprise please :)

Thanks to Bob, Terry, Lisa & Denise for a fantastic week, pity about the weather but it didn't spoil the fùn. Excellent entertainment, food, drink & fishing.

Well done Sophie keep up the good work. Rock on to the ladies who fish, love always see you all soon have a real good holiday X

Well, what an eventful weekend eh?!

We would like to thank everyone that helped in every way, it is really appreciated. From holding down escaping marquees, erecting and taking them down, the glamorous raffle ladies, Simon (for reading out the quiz), onion choppers, burger flippers.....the fixers...the list is endless. It was all such a great help.

Huge thanks to Bill @Ambilkate for marshalling duties plus fixing. You deserve a well
earned break. It was hard work!

Thanks to Rob, Vicky and Sam for the music and for helping with the marquees.

To all those that attended, thanks for coming and for the lovely comments received. It makes the hard work worthwhile ;)

We need to assess the marquee damage fully and get quotes, so I will get back to you on any charity figures.

The last minute cancellations have had an effect on the financial aspect, so charity may suffer a little on this occasion.

Thank you all :clap2::clap2:

Don't be out of pocket. I'm sure many of us would be willing to cough up a little extra to help cover costs. After all £35 for the weekend was a bargain, especially with the special entertainment on Friday night.

Thanks for the very kind offer Wendy, but we wouldn’t take anymore money from funsters.

We will just have to take deposits and final payment next time....

I'm all for it myself @Lisa. (y)

Are @Terry and I all okay to do that upgraded gas regulator, and the Sat Nav at Saltfleet please?

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I would be happy to pay a non-refundable deposit next year. The hard work and fantastic entertainment made this years 3 f's rally the best I have been to in a long time. For £35 it was a bargain. I hope you at least break even Lisa its a shame that the charity may suffer but hopefully we can make up for it next year.

Oh good do you want my money now. Do not want to miss out.

Will sort it Jock (y) Did look for you but you had just left and with the weather I was glad :D

I agree completely, a non refundable deposit or pay up front, with all the hard work entailed it's a must.

@Terry. No sweats pal. I wasn't expecting you to work in that crappy weather, and did leave a message with Bob to that effect. (y)

Don't forget to bring your Sat Nav please. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Got back home at midday today and now in the process of cleaning out the motorhome. Just to reiterate what others have said the best meet of the year, thanks to everyone involved in the organisation, without naming everyone you know who you are.
Regarding paying a deposit, I would happily do it even if I was to loose the deposit as Sandra and I always seem to be juggling funster meets around hospital appointments like a few others on here.
Roll on next year.:)

The figures are in and we were able to raise £177.91 for the Air Ambulance.
The money was given to Andy (site owner) to pay on our behalf and he has generously bumped it up to £250.

Thanks everyone, receipt below :mnythnks:

We weren't at this meet (being away for 7 weeks!) - but reading the thread we missed a treat, what a lot of hard work went into it - well done to everyone :)

Oh well done. We hope you recovered all your expenses as well. As has been said thank you. And hope to see you next year.(y)

Lisa, just caught up with this one (y).

I, like many others would feel very uncomfortable if the organisers were out of pocket for this meet, especially after all their hard work.

Not turning up to a meet without notifying the organisers is disgraceful, and takes the gloss off the weekend. Those so called members who did that should be ashamed of themselves. I realise that things sometimes crop up at the last minute to prevent them coming, but it doesn't take much effort to post to say you are not coming. I would be all for naming and shaming them. At the very least report them to @Jim and I think they should then be banned for a period unless they come up with a good reason for not telling you.

I am all for requiring a non refundable deposit to be paid before your name gets on the list.
