Just noticed that the Euro Status field is blank on my V5 document, as are all of the emission related fields.

It's a 2021 vehicle, Fiat Ducato 2.3 based, 140hp, and is therefore as far as I know a Euro 6d vehicle.

Any thoughts?

So, has anyone found out how to check if my 2011 registered vehicle is Euro 5/6 compliant? Thanks.
It will depend upon the emissions shown on your V5. If there are none it will depend upon the date of first registration.

My guess is yours will not be class 6, as that did not come in until after 1 September 2015. If you have the emissions shown on your V5 they will determine whether or not it is Euro 5. If you have no emissions shown on the V5 it will probably be Euro 5, which came into force on 1 January 2011.

Confused.
I can't find out if ours is Euro 5 or 6 (I'm assuming 5 based on date of manufacture).
However, according to Gov vehicle tax check website, the emissions are 0g/km - which means I'll be Greta the doom goblins bestest buddy.

Don’t think I have one of those but will check docs. Thanks.
The legislation from the EU was that all diesel powered vehicles after 2016 much be Euro 6.

You could try popping your reg in the ULEZ checker. If it is Euro 6 there will be no charge to enter a zone.

Interestingly, there are a number of vehicles - e.g. Porsche 911 (e.g 996 3.4L built in 1999) were built ahead of the introduction of the petrol EU4 standard that came into force in 2006, that initially of TfL compliance checker, that do not have emissions on the V5C and fail and are not Euro4 compliant based on build date.

however the owners can write to Porsche and get a CoC that confirms the car emissions pass the EU4 standard - and TfL accept this and excempt the cars from LEZ charges

so if your car fails the LEZ limits - but there are no emissions on the V5C - there is a possible way to get a vehicle that, at face value fails the LE emissions, to pass

If your V5 doesn’t state it ( mine is blank) you’ll only find out when you apply for a zone badge (Crit’air in France, Umweltplakette in Germany) and they just go off the VIN number. Probably no argument possible

Mine has not got it on but it was on the previous owners v5. I only noticed when I was asked at Austria border, and was told as it's not specified euro 5, you will have to pay as if it was classed as the highest cost rate so had to pay an extra €15 for the pleasure and laziness of dvl whoever.

Never had it on a V5, they normally ask for your Certificate of Conformity.

What do they look like. Don't think I have ever seen one.
They very as they are is issued by each manufacturer.
Every van produced since about 2006 should have one.
I wouldn't buy a van without one, you can get a duplicate from the manufacturer but but they charge upto & £200.

Oddly there is nothing on my V5 to show emmissions and half the zones say no charge and the others say there is a charge. London ULEZ checker says no charge. Vehicle is a boxer registered April 2016 but is, as far as I know, a 2015 spec Euro 5d 2.2 150bhp engine and is ad blue free. Very confusing I think.

It is not unusual to not have CO2 emissions for a commercial vehicle on a V5.

Yes I get that but it’s just strange that some LEZ‘s show a charge and some don’t, assuming they are all going off the registration year in the absence of emissions data on the V5. Particularly bemused that the London ULEZ says no charge considering it is in fact a Euro 5 Vehicle.

I've just come across a 'chat' history printout I had with DVLA back in 2018 when I imported our PVC. I was trying to check the tax category a PVC should go in. The jist of the chat was that there were no emissions details on the CoC so what should I do? The reason for no emission details has been dealt with earlier in this post. Basically I was told to tax it as PLG. I suppose the assumption was that as it was built post 2016 then it would be Euro 6 which is stated on the CoC.
