i washed and polished the van roof yesterday. Last night we had a good rain fall and sure enough this morning we have black streaks down the van. Where ever that rain came from it sure had a lot of dirt in it.

Washing the roof first can help. If you get hard to remove streaks, try one of the waterless Dry Wash products. They can be very effective at streak removal.

I did wash and polish the roof first, just amazed how much dirt was in the rain.

And what is it then??????

 press the link and it will take you to it(y) that is the amazon pic.

I can:D:LOL::LOL:, Its Greased lightning showroom shine.

This is a strange product. No water to remove any sandy grit? Every fibre of my dwindling intelligence says... "Don't use it!" Wash off the dirt first but it does seem to work.
Black streaks just vanish and the van looks clean and and and ok!

I wash the van off with clean water and a cloth first, then use the showroom shine.(y)

Fenwicks black streak remover is very good could only find it on internet though bought ours through Amazon

Am convinced you only get black streaks if you clean and polish the van. The polish seems to make the water run in the same place concentrating the dirt in one place.

Keep your eyes open in Aldi they sell a Black Streak remover sometimes in their special section if I see it I will post again as it really works
I purchased some of the black streak remover from Aldi... complete rubbish, which is unusual for Aldi products... but thats only my opinion

The stuff I bought from Aldi last year, in a circular container, was good, particularly if used neat. This year the container for the cleaner was flatter and had a handle incorporated into it and the Black Streak remover was a spray. I found both of these to be useless

Did the same a while ago, thought I was the Ace! Until it rained!

About a couple of weeks later I was reading a few bib&bobs on the Auto Sleeper Forum, they all advised only polish the sides, back, & front, and for the monoc body (Body is moulded in one piece) which we have, don't polish the white bit on the top  Which I did:doh:

So for the last few days I have been, you guessed it! Polishing out the black streaks!

I washed our little car at the same time which is white coloured. After the same rain it had black streaks running down from the door handles. No idea what was in that rain.

All you need is elbow grease just spray on & wipe off
Broken Link Removed

Don't buy the fenwicks black streak remover buy their motor home cleaner instead, then dilute it 10 parts water to 1 part cleaner pour into a empty trigger spray bottle, spray onto black streaks prior to washing van ( with fenwicks M/H cleaner) Job done !

I'm using Bio-Kleen black streak remover, and it's good too. The only thing to do is spray this product onto the affected surface. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, then wipe off the suds. You do not need to do any scrubbing or rinsing. I did not even need to wash my entire RV before using this; just the stained part will require cleaning.

I've used the Aldi stuff with pretty good results I spray it on and leave it to sit for a couple of minutes then wash it after.

Someone on one of these motorhome forums recommended muk-off, I bought some and found it to be,
