Hi, haven't signed up yet, but just tried the process up to the point of adding a visa card and it comes up with a pop up box. are you set up to block popups ?
Sounds likely, since no pop up box appeared. There seems to have been a couple of involuntary changes on the set-up of late on this latop. I'll have to look at the Firefox settings, though I've never come across that setting. Or I may try on another laptop. I assume it's a Firefox setting. It's never happened before.

Also found that if you leave it too long a box pops up with an error message when you try to enter card details

Started again from the beginning and no problem then (y)

Yes, it was blocked. Need to try later to redo the form. Faster this time! Thanks so much, will report back later if successful. Also turned off adblock just incase.

Tried it with Google chrome and it worked ok.
Check if you have a red Adblock plus button at the top right of the page.

Tried it with Visa and Mastercard, on both it refused payment
Nous regrettons de ne pouvoir donner une
suite favorable à votre demande de paiement.

The first time it said try again later, MC didn't say that.

Think I'll have to go back to Sanef.

Just thinking of trying with my son's French address, and my card. The payment and email accounts would come to me ... oh, the tag would go to France. I need it here. Drat

I'm not giving up yet , others seem to have managed it.

On one attempt I had a pop up message from my credit card company asking me to ring them.
Maybe I have to get it pre-authorised ?

Patrick

My present one has lasted 6 years and has been well worth it. But it was a bit iffy last time we used it, had to wave it out of the window on one occasion, so it does need replacing. Thought I could get one on the cheap. Or the other thought that's just occurred to me is to use my son's French address?

Check the Emovis website, they will replace it. You can also send it back and get £20 (I think) for it.

Nothing to do with business hours? I did think of phoning B&G in France, I can't make out their phone number, it seems to be some sort of automated number. I wanted their France, Iberia and Italy one. Can't hand about too long.

It's on its way already! Cancelled on line, stuck with a big 1st class stamp.

Good, I was just at the point of giving up. I emailed them and just got an automated reply. I'll give it another go.

Patrick: The payment went through, I've got some sort of receipt, immediately it went through my contact was lost, so I don't know where I stand now, I did not get the confirmation statement that you did. Do they give any sort of direct phone number?

Great, thanx. I'll call them in the morning, give them time to contact me first, plus I think they'll be closed now. They won't thank me if they're just about to go home. They definitely took the payment.

I received an email within 5 minutes, but I did appear to be cut off after I paid

Silly question time sorry...We will be travelling around Europe this year in our Swift Motorhome 3500kg If I get this pass France, Spain, Portugal, Italy I pay 15 Euro setup and 10 Euro postage then 1.70 - 2.40 Euro depending on country for any month I use it whether used 1 - 2 - 10 etc days plus the toll charge for the road I am on. The main benefit of getting the card is usability, drive up to toll bosh barrier opens and the toll charge is taken from your credit card, same price as if I queued and paid cash. Is that about right ?

There's no silly question there, yes you're right that the charges are the same, the main benefit is that normally there are no or smaller queues, many tolls in France have a no-stopping barrier where you roll up at 30km or less, barrier lifts, off you go. Portugal has slightly different rules in that some roads have automated toll barriers, some have no barriers you have to have a separate card. Certain péages in France can be very busy at peak times in August, for example. I've found the tags to be very beneficial, it eases the stress of long distance travel. Many people don't bother, it's up to you which you like.

We also have a problem with the height of the card/ticket machines. They seem to be for cars or lorries not motor homes. The wife has to lean out through the window to reach.
It doesn't help that the window doesn't open all the way.

Ok trying to sign up and stuck already with my address, No. path, is this house number ? Channel type, drop down menu what do I choose I live in a house ? lastly Complement is this the area where I live ?

Yes path is house number, from the drop down menu I live on a street so I chose rue . I left compliment empty.
Plaque d'immatriculation is the number plate

Patrick, I've still not received a confirmation, tried phoning but couldn't get that phone number you gave to work, but since they haven't replied to 3 emails, I don't know what to do. When I had a problem with Sanef/Imovis, the UK people responded quickly to phone calls and were quick to act, and quickly gave me a refund. I'm now doubtful how wise it will prove to use these people, if you can't contact them from UK. I'll give them another day or two, cos I don't want to order from Emovis if this one IS going through.

Hi Dorwyn doesn't sound good. I received an email very quickly, don't suppose its in your spam folder.

I was also able to access my credit card account on line and the activation charge was showing initially showing as pending but has since moved to paid. Do you have on line access ?

I googled APRR before applying and lots of others use their tag so fingers crossed it will be ok.

2 good points there. Thanks for that, TBH my card contact details are buried in the mists of time, and the spam folder yet to check, but I do often find french letters in there. Sorry, emails
