Renewed 2 weeks ago through broker AIB, last year £530.19 this year £539.35 an increase of £9.16, I must confess, based on storeys on this forum was expecting an increase of at least £150.00. Cost is subject to Thatcham approved Tracker Which cost £165.00pa, and fitment of telescopic security post at front of Van in drive. I expect the small increase in premium is due to the reduced value of the van which must of reduced anywhere between £5 and £10K over the year.

Unfortunately I’ve searched and searched all the comparison sites, even though it’s increased by almost £200 Comfort is still the cheapest quote.

We did the same as you, but stayed with Comfort. An increase of £45 so not too bad compared to your quote.
Personally I think it’s a racket.

While I was doing my renewal I mentioned that I am now retired and did they need to know, they did need to know and it went up another £70, the reasoning was as I was retired I would be using the van more. I'm glad I mentioned it as they may have wriggled out of any subsequent claims.

Renewed my Motorhome Insurance today with Comfort. Premium had increased by £30 on last year. A quick Internet trawl showed only two quotes cheaper by about £10 from two companies I had never heard of and one quote was over three times that of Comfort!

Happy to stay with them.
