Beware thieves ! Donosti Aire San Sebastian

If you have Factory Fit Deadlocks then you only need the Keyed Locks protected.

Ok thanks for the info.
With regard to which plates to actually fit they appear to vary in price quite a lot, from £22 to over £70! Has anyone fitted the ones off ebay sold by 'car and commercial solutions' they appear to get some good reviews?

These are the ones I fitted:

Right, yes I have looked at them they seem to be just as good as the more expensive ones. Did they come with a good set of instructions and did the quality of the stainless steel seem pretty good?

I think factory fitted deadlocks are only fitted to UK supplied vans (by that I mean the Base van is supplied in UK. Base van spec to a UK convertor). Vans supplied to some many /all?) European converters (e.g. MY UK spec, RHD globecar) do not have factory fitted deadlocks.
You can find out if you have deadlocks by double pressing the lock button on the remote. If you have them, the deadlocks actuate on the second press and you cannot open the doors from the inside.

I don't remember any instructions. It was about two years ago! I found this YouTube video useful:

Just don't be so brutal!
Nicely made laser cut outline and plastic peel off coating.

Our Van is Right Hand Drive European supplied - side door on the right/drivers side, and it has Factory Deadlocks

We've been campervanning with/without a caravan on tow/motorhoming since 1994 and, touch everything lucky, we've not been broken into in the vehicles. (I'm hoping that's not now a bad omen).

We are fairly careful where we park/leave our vehicle(s).

We would NEVER leave it in a large city or even a smaller city with a lot of graffiti etc.

(We left our best bikes at home some years ago, moved from an outside plastic shed to the spare bedroom in the house in Totana, Spain. Before we'd made it to the UK we had a call from our neighbours/landlords to say the house had been broken into and our bikes had gone. We still think it was an inside job. Knowing where we lived, no-one else could know we'd left).

Just be careful. And if it happens to you it's a shame.

Passed the aire in Santander today.Quite busy and in a lovely spot..We carried on to the Elephant Park though..
BUSBY.

Years ago I was told 'With any security system or divice every penny spent is a minute in time'
Because all you are buying is time. If it takes longer to break into your house/car/motorhome then the one next door the scumbags will go next door. The longer they take to get something the more chance of being caught.
However if a scumbag knows their job (and they treat it as a job) wants your stuff they will have it.

I have these. If it’s broken into you still can’t open the doors!
