Beware! Mobile phone, 'New'"Fair Usage" limits.

Just a 'hesads up to all of you venturing abroad this Winter.

My provider has reduced their 'Fair usage' use of my phone from 12Gb to 5Gb.

I don't recall when they gave me notice of this, and, from memory I think my 'month' ends on the 20th.

It therefore came as a bit of a surprise to receive their text last night to tell me I've already used 80% of my allowance

We leave for Blighty in a couple of days so it's not much of a problem but I will be seeking an alternative strategy for the next time I cross the water.

Didn’t you warn us about this with TalkTalk a week or two ago Derek? I may well be confusing you with someone else of course.

IQ pulled the plug on us with the GO sim, reduced monthly data usage to 25% and blamed EE, so I guess they can do anything sadly ?

Oh! They increased the gigs for home use but that's no good abroad.

I am going mad , it had to come I know but I thought I had a few years yet. I will warn the children. Might explain why they’ve all left the country I suppose!

Fed up with UK providers promising huge Chunks of data when abroad, only to change T&C. This trip was easy straight to Leclerc 100gb for 14 euros, got 17 days out of that in Spain. Then bought an orange sim in Spain, 60gb for 10 euros.
