Bessacarr E560
What type of removable carpet for a E560 Bessacarr motorhome living section are recommended and why?
Short pile, long pile or woven?
Felt back?
Hoping to get carpets fitted very soon.

Thanks in advance.

We love our sheepskins in the winter. So warm and comfortable, even if not so practical 🙃

I decided not to include the optional OEM carpet in my order - £300!

Made a paper template then cut my own out of a leftover remnant from the fitted carpet in my previous newbuild house. Even though it is cream colour it cleans easily (I have a Vax Spotwash) and is still good after 6 seasons' use. Shoes off, slippers only inside the van.

Thank you so much for all those hints - I was worried that I'd have to take all the lockers etc off but it sounds much easier the way you have described !! It's now my New Year Project - we love our old Timberland and it really needs a good refresh. Thanks again Stella
Ideally, I would have liked to remove the cabinets but it's a lot of work and you need space to store them after removal.. which I don't have.. .also, the wall lining inside the cupboards is ok.. not dusty or falling apart..

Rubber backed industrial barrier mats. All the comfort of carpet, but you can take them out and pressure wash them and they come up like new

do you find the square tiles lift at the corners? did you use any adhesive on the floor? on cabinets etc... i assume you did
No. Just lay them very tightly together and they go nowhere. If they are a loose fit, you will have all sorts of problems.

Hi Jev, if they should lift just try a short length of sticky backed Velcro underneath - but tightly fitted as Meanders says works a treat in my Adria Win.

I recommend flotex. It’s easy to cut to shape. Easy to clean using a carpet shampooer and because the pile is short it dries quickly. I have a mottled grey that does not show the dirt, vacuums easily and gets washed on the patio when back home. I find it much better than short pile carpet.

We have shag pile which works well for us but we do take it out and give it a good shake frequently.

Best is Flotex, hotel quality and very easy to clean, dog hairs don't stick to it and easy washed on the drive with a powerwasher and hung on the line to dry. Nothing touches it and looks good.
