Lebara unlimited is capped at 30GB in the EU, as far as I can tell. Just got one as a back up for my husbands phone, because it gives 30GB in the eu, & I got it for £9.98 per month for three month from USwitch. It would be great if it was unlimited roaming though!I use a Lebara 30 day rolling contract, at the moment 4GB for £5. However when Three throttled my 24GB datasim I changed to a 20GB plan whilst in Norway on my mobile and used it as a hotspot with no problems, throttling or anything, then reverted to the £5 plan on our return when it expired.
I've now managed to finish off the Three data and won't be renewing. Instead I'll buy the new Lebara Unlimited data 30 day plan for £25 when we head off to Ireland next week. I've searched the T & Cs and cannot find any restrictions on roaming usage. When we return I'll revert to the £5 plan again, which is normally more than enough for me.
If anyone wants a link to supposedly get 50% off for 3 months let me know (yup, I get a kickback too of course!).
Lebara restricts roaming to 30GB. So you are better purchasing a 30GB SIM for £15.I use a Lebara 30 day rolling contract, at the moment 4GB for £5. 400gb is enough for us.It’s only 400GB in Spain unfortunately
It would be enough for us also - I was just pointing out it’s only 400GB in Spain - in France and any other EU country or the UK it’s 200GB400gb is enough for us.
Pleased id working well as we hit france tmorrow with that simHad an EE data sim and that was brilliant but unfortunately expensive then tried RWG in May that was good but it does not include Switzerland and they are a nightmare when it comes to cancelling the account!
In Germany at present and the ID sim I have is working well, been to France and Belgium and alls good…
You may have to change the APN setting as 3UK is not recognised in France aparentlyPleased id working well as we hit france tmorrow with that sim

As per my previous post about just getting a UK sim, I've just got hubby an 'upgrade' (12 month contract) on his Vodafone sim via Mobiles.co.uk giving him 200gb of data (he had 100gb on his old contract) costing £16 pcm reduced to £8 after redemption (easy to do) = £96 for the year (plus the cost uplift in April). I went via TopCashback who are offering cashback of £20 on Voda upgrade sims so that'll make it £76 for the year, £6.33 pcm, don't think that's a bad deal and we'll just get a Lebara or some other suitable sim for EU use when we need it, better than paying over the odds for a sim which includes 8 months' EU 'allowance' when we don't need it.An alternative is to get a Vodafone 100gb 12 month contract cashback sim for £7.67 a month and just get a SIM to use in the EU for when you are going there, eg Lebara, no point in paying over the odds for a UK one if you only use it abroad for 2-3 months a year, that's what we're going to do.
Their £18 data SIM doesn't allow roaming, you have to opt for the £28 global data SIM.RWG is 200GB for £18/month.

Even though their website states "ALL of our SIM deals include full eu roaming"
Their £20 phone Sim includes unlimited calls and texts, plus 200gb data with full eu roaming, but tethering is limited to one device.
All their Sims need to be activated in the UK before roaming, and roaming is limited to 3 months at a time.
The above information is as a result of an email exchange with rwg customer service.
We will only be passing through France on our way home so 200gb will be ok.It would be enough for us also - I was just pointing out it’s only 400GB in Spain - in France and any other EU country or the UK it’s 200GB
Bugger, just ordered a Popit Sim, two of these Lebara ones would have covered my 4 week trip to Germany/ Italy next week.I came across this earlier for a cheap top up via Moneysupermarket with Lebara……

Roaming in Europe
Whether you need to travel for work or leisure, we understand the importance of staying connected. That’s why we let you use your Lebara SIM in Europe just like how you would use it whilst you are in the UK. This means that you can use the data and minutes included in your allowance in the EU at no extra cost. If you exhaust your full allowance while in the EU, you can buy a new plan or add a bolt on to continue being able to use services. If you add PAYG credit, standard PAYG charges will apply.
If you have an unlimited data plan, you can use up to 30GB data whilst roaming in the EU.
Correct, but I think you need the £20 phone sim rather than data, so £38 pm.Just looking at the RWG data SIM 200gb. If you select the global SIM option now it indicates +£17, so presumably now £35 per month - or am I misreading it??
It's my understanding that the phone Sim includes EU roaming at £20 but restricts tethering to one device. The global' data SIMs price appears to have increased to £35 and is suitable for use in a mifi device. The £18 data SIM does not include roaming!Correct, but I think you need the £20 phone sim rather than data, so £38 pm.
No RWG for 200gb EU roaming data ,, in UK I have Giffgaff, which I will only use for calls in EU and Thailand TruemoveDid you go Vodafone or EE
Honestly for Thailand just buy a sim at the airport, they are setup for it (we were there for a month pre-Covid) with boothes as you leave the secure customs area of the airport, with people just queuing for sims on arrival. Unlimited sims for a month are about £15-20 quid and the booth at airport (many) will activate and do everythjing for you (they do need your passport) and more importantly it will have proper performance, unlike a roaming one. We just got a sim for a mifi and used our phones on that as we had 2 of us with 2 ipads and 2 phones!. From memory the firm we used was AIS (which is Thais largest network). Gave near 100Mbit on all places we visited, and on the islands and for around 20 quid for the month we were there was great value. It was truely unlimited. Thanks for the thailand info. That helps as we plan to do a month in Thailand in January.
Yes, global sim has initial purchase price then monthly subs it seemsJust in case you're not aware it is a monthly payment SIM, not a one off purchase SIM.
AIS or DTAC just as good can buy at airport get unlimited for about 300BahtThanks for the thailand info. That helps as we plan to do a month in Thailand in January.
