best places to go in the uk

All of it. Dorset, Suffolk, Norfolk, Northumberland, Pembrokeshire, etc, etc.
Im amazed to see how many negative posts for The U.K. Why ? So much to see, so much to do. Great cities, countryside, coastal area’s etc.

Huh? I've not seen anything negative! Just preferences.

It's not a binary choice. I love so many places in Britain, and continue to plan trips to Wales and the SW, but being confined to UK during covid, made us realise that we want to spend summers and whitsun abroad.

what's everyone's favourite places to go touring in the uk?

We like archeology, and there is lots of that.
We stayed at the council site in Kirkwall. Easy walk to town centre and harbour.
Stromness was lovely - felt like going back to the 50s.
Easy driving. Lots of single-track roads, but flat so it's easy to pick out passing places.
We stayed on the Mainland, and went to all of the following, except Old Man of Hoy, and Papa Westray. Maeshowe is amazing! We would have visited some of the islands, but it was difficult with our elderly dog.

Have fun

We have recently returned from a 4 week trip to Scotland taking the East coast from Edinburgh up to Dunnet Head and back again, Stopping for free a night then 2 in campsite. Really really enjoyed it. Thought about carrying on and "doing" the NC500 but far too many hired moho's and campers so decided John 'o groats and return home.

North Norfolk, Dorset, The New Forest, North Yorkshire.

Anywhere as long as the weather is good.

Enjoyed every trip in the UK so far - also enjoyed France and Spain.

UK - Peak Disctrict, North and West Wales, Norfolk/Suffolk, Lake District, Yorkshire, Dorset, Bristol, Northumberland.

Not in the motorhome yet but - Scotland, Cornwall,

So many lovely places in the UK. Couldn't say which is best.

Also doing Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy later this year I am sure they will all be great too.
