***Best Eats In Spain***

At the risk of preaching to the converted (as so many of us have travelled extensively in Spain), it occurred to me somebody might like to know where to go... ​

...ANYWHERE in Spain -- to get a really good, cheap lunch. Guaranteed, every time.

There's a Spanish saying, "Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Lord, Dine like a Pauper." (Approximately!)

No matter where you go, lunch is VERY important in Spain. Especially for younger, always-hungry workmen. (Maybe some women too, I dunno, I'm not one.)

Where do you find a LOT of these?

In Industrial Estates throughout the land. And even in smaller towns, you'll often see a wee white pointy sign saying 'Poligono Industrial'. ('Industrial Estate')

In any Poligono, (or nearby), there will be a 'Bar Restaurante'. (One or many!)

They only open in the mornings and till about 4pm. Young guys are ALWAYS hungry. But these places are not restricted to 'locals'.

You'll be welcomed for sure.

You generally get a full 3-course meal, choice of 3 or 4 starters. main and dessert, including wine/or beer and water, for 10€ or less.

Always freshly cooked too.

"Home Cooking" ('Cocina casera') like Mama makes is obligatory in these places, trust me.

Plus a bonus for Motorhomers...

You'll get parked fairly easily.

You will be preaching to the converted, so many folk wouldn’t dare venture into what is generally a Spanish domain with good food,atmosphere,people and good service with a smile…..too Spanish
