Henry is in storage with no access to power/water. I'm not allowed to bring him onto my static site to wash him etc and the nearest jet wash is miles away meaning in the winter, he'll be just as filthy by the time i get back!
I'm thinking about a cordless jet wash for swilling down AFTER a bucket/brush wash .

I'm looking more at flow than pressure which could damage seals. Just want to be able to wash the soap off properly.

A Worx would be nice but ridiculous money.

Any recoms for a cheaper alternative?

Spray on some wet and forget and let the elements do the job for you.https://www.toolstation.com/barrettine-mould-mildew-cleaner/p90095?store=TA&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=_dc&pcrid=null&pkw=null&pmt=null&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1Yy5BhD-ARIsAI0RbXYjmSaWJUa3HwlpokoLcDPBqNUok4qvVVm8Ru-1EwNUs9Gz7zHIbbcaAv9ZEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have a Worx Hydroshot which gets a far bit of use as it's more convenient than dragging out my Karcher for a lot of jobs.

There is a new Worx Hydroshot on eBay for £106 delivered.

I have an ex WD Stirrup pump somewhere? 😄

But seriously, wait for a fine day, drive your van to the carwash, when it's clean, drive it back and park it.
It will be dry after the wind has blown all the pockets of water trapped in the chassis out and the engine, brakes etc will thank you for being thoroughly heated through.
Take a picnic and make a day of it! 👍

Bailey specifically say not to use a pressure washer on their products!

I guess its OK with care, but sealant could conceivably be displaced with a strong close pressure washer.

Just something to bear in mind.

Tony.

There's always a washing system demonstration at most shows at the NEC etc. no idea how good they are in practice though ?

Wet and Forget or Patio Magic both do a good job of getting rid/preventing green and other stuff taking hold, used it for years on all surfaces like GRP, canvas, rope, paint and rubber etc, certainly helps keep the van cleaner over the winter.

For cleaning I've settled on a quick hose down with a Hydroshot to get loose mud etc off, then Hydroshot and soap dispenser, followed by a brush and then hose off. Not sure the Hydroshot will rinse any better than just the hose, but it is handy on the brake dusty wheels and grills etc.

The Hydroshot especially on the wider spray pattern isn't so powerful that I've seen any damage, or seals lifting, but I do keep it at a distance.

Like Gellyneck the Hydroshot gets used more than the full fat karcher, but I do have a couple of cheaper additional batteries, and use them all on the van.....

Another vote for wetnforget.
Been using it for years on patio, greenhouse, and for last 3 years the pcv, especially the roof.
Roof has never been filthy in 3 years.

I used one of these on the road 12v cheap as chips and had it for years works really well.

all my lorries have draper d20 pressure washers and 25 ltrs of water for cleaning the cars defore we deliver them and they have 12volt chargers for the batteries and they must be ok before none of the drivers have whinged about them in the last year since i got them.

I got one from Temu that comes with two batteries and various fittings for £25. I use it for washing down our bikes. Works very well.

I have a Worx which is good enough for cleaning vehicles but wouldn’t be up to much more.

I sound that recommendation, I used to use mine via a bucket but now have connected via hosepipe. Also, the battery powers my Worx Mini vacuum.
