Is 7m just too long for the shops and villages as opposed to 5.5m being cramped? 2 humans + 1 labrador. Previously lived in a B568 for a year with a big lab no problem but width around Irish lanes was. Then had a Possl 2 win (fixed rear bed), felt sardined.

We have a Globecar Campscout 6.36m long - 2 longitudinal singles or a mahoosive king size if we want at the rear, half dinette lounge at the front, kitchen and toilet opposite each other with 'hidden' shower in the middle so doesn't take up space when not in use.

We use it with 3, yes THREE dogs, two approx 10kg, one around 22kg (cross Staffie/Greyhound) and don't have a problem.

We use the rear beds as chaise longues if we want to slob out during the day, it also means we have a separate area if we need our 'own space' ... oh the dogs LOVE the beds too! :D

Similarly, our Wildax Europa at 6.128m has two longitudinal singles that can convert to a luxurious king size. But the beds also double as the rear lounge, so front-lounge-wise there is just the one swivel chair and a demountable table.

Plenty big enough for the two of us (not exactly svelte people) and it works well for us when we want to work independently -- one in the rear lounge and one up the front. Reckon we could do a lab too, as long as the dog wasn't too fussy :-).

The Globecars have some nice additional tardis-like space-saving ideas, though.

We are impressed with the Wildax presentations on YT, is the quality as good as it seems?

Yes, we have found ours to be very well built. It looks like they must listen to feedback too as we have noticed, looking at newer versions of the same model, that all the very minor design points that we disliked have now been designed out (ours is five years' old).

Hi,
Having had a 7.5m and finding it didn't work with two miniature labradoodle pups we moved to a 6.3m. Sounds counter intuitive but we having had the motorhome four weeks we both agree we have more liveable space. Size in this case is not important it's down to the layout and usage. Adaptations and compromise also comes into the mix but we find being able to park in a single supermarket space if there is a verge behind us and having a permanent dining area so much better. We have four travelling seats against two and five berths against four having dropped over a metre and reduced width. Probably made it more confusing but that's motorhomes for you.
