And as Basildog keeps reminding us, losing the cover and not replacing it can lead to debris entering the inlet, with potentially catastrophic consequences.Buy at least one spare plastic cover for the filling point on the van.
Then it won't be quite so embarrassing when you leave you cover on the top of the LPG pump.
Fortunately our LPG pump was fairly local, and they saved the cover for us.
Still, lesson learned.

Hi all and apologies for not replying sooner.
When you release after filling there will be a release of gas from the connection, it is a bloody frightening noise for the time, I must of jumped at least two foot off the ground.Evening all. Tomorrow I’m going to have a go and fill my Gaslow system for the first time. I’ve only used about half of the first cylinder but I thought I may as well give it a go.
I know I have to ensure both cylinder valves are closed off and that they only fill to 80% but is there anything else to be aware of? Any hints tips or tricks?
Cheers in advance.
Rick.
There certainly was a release of gas the first time I refilled my Alugas bottle! And we’re not talking pump nozzle……………When you release after filling there will be a release of gas from the connection point - that is normal.
I is not from the UK I is from España...pump attendant people is common here. Are you having a laugh in the UK .The only time you see them outside is smoke time
Thought Morrison’s had taken all their autogas out of use???I think all the pumps I use, it would be difficult to hold the connected end at the same time as pressing the button. I still wear the gloves as I have known it splash a small amount when disconnecting. Also the locking lever at our local Morrisons hasn't had a sleeve on for ages. Grab it to release when you have dispensed the gas, and it's flipping cold!

Thank you never thought if using Ebbw ValeThats a NO in the two branches, Cardiff and Ebbw Vale, that I use.
There was a fair bit of speculation on here that this would be inevitable when MFG took over the forecourts but it doesn’t seem to have happened.Thought Morrison’s had taken all their autogas out of use???
Crikey, you’re lucky, I’ve never had anyone offer to fill mine up. Ever. All the outlets we've used ( a grand total of five , two in the UK) all insisted on them operating the pump so other than as an observer I've never done it but as others have said. Once it slows filling stop , don't stop prematurely or it will reset and some places have a minimum spend of £10 . It all seems fairly straightforward provided that you have the correct adapter if you are abroad.
I thought it took me long enough to put in 20 litres. The worst part for me is holding the fill button for 20 mnutes whilst I take on 225 litres for engine and reconnect for 60 litres in habitation tank......
