Beginners guide to filling water tank.....please?

Some sites have water supplies adjacent to pitches, especially if a disabled pitch. See if you can get one of those.
Hoses have a remarkable ability to be six inches shorter than you need, no matter how long they are! So my advice is to make sure you test the distance before you settle down (pitch the wind breaks).
Watering cans do not need to be filled to the brim. Did you see that I used the plural? Get two (cheap plastic ones), so long as you have the space to store them. They will overcome the times when the tap is too far away or cannot be connected to your hose. I say two, because two provide balance and allow you to make fewer trips.
Enjoy your excursion!

We use a Colapz USB rechargeable pump like this
£45 ????
You can get a diesel transfer pump complete with cigarette plug for circa a tenner.... just need bit of hose....

Cheaper other USB charging options are available too :)

YOU have opened a can of worms here...
3 options
Hose
Water can
Aquaroll..
I personally have aquaroll with a submersible pump that you can plug into 12 socket in van thru window... cheapest I found... search for diesel submersible transfer pump... (not a wind up).
But as I say, some swear by the hose route or the run back and forth with a watering can which you still need to lift up to filler. Take yer choice, but as I say aquaroll for me..
where do you find the space to take a aquaroll in a converted van when we had one they wasn't room to turn around in one:unsure:

We are going away to Salcombe in July for a week, I'm trying to work out how to refill the the water tank whilst on site. We will have to use the water for everything but drinking, we will take bottled water for that. We have a 2009 Pilote G732 which has its water intake halfway up the side of the van. I have several ailments which occasionally make the physical side of life quite awkward and am concerned about how to refill the onboard water tank if I'm feeling less than capable. The Boss has bought windbreaks and a 7m skirt to keep the hounds confined and I'm not sure if moving the van once setup is a viable option.
Is there a way to use a Aquaroll or similar and some form of electric pump?
Is having metres and metres of hose a better option?
Or something else?
Many thanks, if this has been asked before ( I did use the search but couldn't see anything that I thought related to my situation) I apologise .
Book a fully serviced pitch they come with a water tap and grey waste disposal, although you will need a hose to fill and something like a Collapz pipe system. That way you don't need to move ( serviced pitches do cost more though)

I have a similarly located water inlet and have a 10 litre plastic container with its own screw-on spout. I take great pleasure in filling it at the water point and then emptying it into my 130 litre tank 11 times, any more and the tank overflows. I do this in all weathers happy in the knowledge that I have set my Apple Watch to weight lifting and that, by the time I have finished, I will be well on the way to my day’s exercise target. I have also learnt that, by squeezing the outsides of the container, I can encourage the flow of water and speed up the job. It is a pity I am completely tone deaf or I could consider it training for my future bagpipe playing.
Incidentally, I have searched for a similar container in the UK but it seems they are only sold in Chinese Emporiums in Spain.

I have a couple of 10L ones with a spout from my local yacht chandlery - Plastimo brand without looking in the garage to confirm.
