Hi, I have been quoted £450 to install a BBQ gas point on an Adria 600.
The point required is on the drivers side and gaslow install on the passenger side
Does the cost sound ok or can anyone point me to a installer, we are based in Essex
Thankyou

Where in Essex are you ?

Are there no gas appliances on the drivers side ?
The fridge is on the drivers side, Gaslow and Cooker on passengers side.
Thanks

Thank you for your reply, I am quite handy but dealing with gas and the thought of drilling a hole in the side of the van scares the living daylights out of me. If I could get an alternative quote thats sensible would be my option however failing that I would give it a go with some supervision. Could you let me have the guys number in Thorpe le Soken ?

Many Thanks

Have it connected to the gas supply with a compression T and it's own inline tap.
Last one I fitted took an hour, including cutting the hole for the outlet.
Thank-you for your reply much appreciated

I have quite a lot of experience dealing with gas albeit before Corgi/Gas safe got their grubby mitts on their licence to print money ....so that's not an issue plus drilling into your van shouldn't be a great concern if you can measure properly and use your eyes and brains to determine the best place to fit the connection. It will just be one round hole so no great issue if you're a practical person.

Could you put the connector under the side of the camper instead of drilling a hole? If so you could t-off in the gas locker and bring the piping down through the drop vent under the van to just behind the rear offside wheel.

I had one fitted on Tuesday this week, it cost £155 for the fitting work (I supplied the new BBQ gas point). Probably not much use to you as it was done in the Plymouth area, but will give you an idea of likely cost!

Try Pullingers for a comparison near you.

had a bullfinch one fitted in Preston £195,,,,£450 is way over the top ,, i have fitted one on my own before ,,was easy but as the new van was only 3 weeks old i paid up this time 😒

I am in the same situation.
Considering fitting one of these.

I,m in Colchester quite used to drilling holes in Campers . If your fridge and hob gas valve is the same side you often have a free outlet on the end of it

Many thanks for all your replies I went back to Pullingers where I purchased the van as its due a hab check and they quoted £240 including vat for the BBQ so happy with that and saved a few quid happy days.
