Battery warranties

I have now, as a last resort, threatened small claims court but as yet they haven't bothered replying and TBH I don't expect they will.
Once you find out the costs involved, time and effort, I believe you will go no further. This is almost certainly why they are not responding to your claims.

I had to chase battery Megastore as they advised previously they were receiving new stock on the 15th May and would send one out on reviews of the new stock. I chased them today and they have sent one by DHL which is destined to arrive tomorrow to my son's adress.
So we shall see.

I had a pair of leisure batteries from Advanced Batteries and one of those failed, popped in to Advanced when we were passing and they checked it and said one was faulty and replaced it and that was just under the 3 year warranty period.
I did buy another to match and sold the other one

Well the battery was delivered by DHL yesterday but the driver would not release it as he was expecting to collect a return.( I had returned the old battery some weeks ago).
He wouldn't call megastore as his instructions didn't allow that.my son offered to call but he was adamant that no return then no delivery.
On the way back to his van he dropped the battery(packaged) ,23 kgs on the drive. The handle broke on the packageing
So we shall see what transpires today. Details were sent to megastore.

Just to add the final result to this warranty.
We sent photos of a mark left by the dropped battery on the driver BMS saisxthey spots to DHL who advised them the battery was not damaged just the packaging. So they arranged to resend it. The driver was the same guy and requested my son take it off his truck as it was too heavy for him. .
One corner of the battery showed signs of damage where it had been dropped previously so photos were sent to BMS who agreed to replace the battery which was done within a few days..
The battery was fitted to the van a week later and has been on since.
We have travelled around Morocco and a couple of months stationary in Beni 2023/2024 ( we have a battery master) and have noticed the battery dropping to 12.6 v since we returned .
So will keep an eye on it.
The warranty is 4 years so we shall see.
