I'm a newbie
I thought it would be easy enough to identify the negative terminal of the starter battery on my Fiat Ducato but I cant see anything that resembles an earth connection. I would love to go on a run to charge the battery but I have no choice other than parking it on grass which is too wet at the moment to get traction so I need to use a charger. Can anyone help and tell me if the negative terminal is nearest the front of the vehicle

Thanks so much.

I disconnected the "odd one out" retrofit output (where you have the 60A fuse) which removed power to the CBE box input B1+. I then ran a parallel cable of the same section via a different route and connected both.

Success that I can now get 33A into my 100Ah Lithium having reduced resistance significantly.

Problem that I now have a yellow "Engine" icon light on the dash so i am wondering what I have upset or what else was connected to this.

I am going to upgrade the CBE box to Leisure battery cable next to cut resistance a bit more. This is an 8mm cable but goes a long route and drops 0.2 of the 0.8 volts.

I feel I should really run a separate Alternator to Split feed perhaps when back from travels.

Cheers.

Thanks for all the info

So now with the parallel cable and reduced cable run resistance we are up to 33A charging current.

or rather were, as we now have a yellow "engine" icon on the dash, and no D+ so no split relay and its not the fuse in the CBE box.

any ideas ?

thanks
