I personally would only want to read an honest and non biast review of services received.Would you rather I enthusiastically deceived other funsters in order to keep an advertiser happy? I am not on the payroll.
Looks like they will be getting a bad review now. Bet they do not publish itI have bought off them before. Spent £300 with them last december as well. Don't recall them spamming me that time?
Nope, I won't bother. I just avoid buying from them again. shame really as I appear to have ordered from them quite a bit in the past.Looks like they will be getting a bad review now. Bet they do not publish it
Unbelievable specification. Discharge to 70% without causing any damage. 600 cycles and yet only 24 KG of lead.I was going to order these as at Pickering I thought my inverter batteries had had enough at 6.5yrs old BUT they are fully charged again and OK

Brian.... now that statement made me chuckleSometimes a little diplomacy is in order.
I have an Intelligent charger in the van but a couple of times a year I switch off and charge up with my CTEK. It appears to make no difference and the batteries are fully charged again in minutes.Do you all just rely on the built in charger in the van or do you take the batteries off now and again and charge with a ctek or similar ?
Not to worry the four similar spec ones in my van are 6.5 yrs old and still okWhoops! Just noticed this is the LXD 110 I've posted details on but not to worry the LXD 120 has exactly the same performance and dimensions.
Battery Megastore: My 7 months old Yuasa 12v 100 ah leisure battery failed and would not hold its charge. I rang them to complain, they said they needed to test it and I paid a fee of £20 for tracked collection/return. Two days later they rang to say they had tested the battery, found that it was indeed faulty and was a valid claim within the 4 year warranty. The day after I received a brand new more expensive Yuasa 115ah (they had no stock of the 100ah), and a day later the £20 fee was refunded into my bank account. Outstanding customer service and a special thank you to Lewis Mc Caskill who arranged everything. 5 big stars!I need to buy 2 new leisure batteries to be delivered tomorrow ... any pro's or against's for these suppliers?
Have used both for several batteries.. Only had one take an early bath ( 14 months old ).. Contacted Tanya they arranged collection of the duff one and delivered the replacement all within 24 hoursI need to buy 2 new leisure batteries to be delivered tomorrow ... any pro's or against's for these suppliers?
Thanks John, My original post is nearly 4 years old so probably useful info when I need to replace again in the near future.Have used both for several batteries.. Only had one take an early bath ( 14 months old ).. Contacted Tanya they arranged collection of the duff one and delivered the replacement all within 24 hours
Customer service is what counts with me.. No experience of Megastore ( though proly just as good ) but I know Tanya sorts out issues without fuss and more importantly, fast
Not sure why you aren't happy with this because it's essentially quite true. My 2008 Sargent power supply was not a proper battery charger as such because it would never give the leisure battery a 100% charge - I have a feeling that even Sargent admitted this. The actual charger within the power supply was barely adequate and notable for failure. As this type of unit was fitted to many British vans over the years the advice they give seems fair and accurate to me and a good warning to novice owners that they might need something better, particularly on older motorhomes. The only way at that time to properly fully charge leisure and vehicle batteries was to use a CTEK, and more likely a heavy duty version like the MXS25 if you had more than one leisure battery. Not over impressed when the first thing I read is:
The chargers generally fitted in caravans and motorhomes are not really battery chargers but power supplies designed to run the 12V equipment on board. As such they are not ideal for fully charging a leisure battery although the so called ‘intelligent chargers’ introduced in the last few years are much better in this respect.
I'd much sooner there was too much packing than not enough...last thing you want is a damaged battery and all the hassle of returning it and getting a replacementI have just bought two batteries from Tayna great service. The only problem was the amount of packaging. There was loads of polystyrene bubble wrap and cardboard.
