As with all wildlife the problems they cause are all created by the human race. If our disgusting habits didn't attract them in the first place they wouldn't be around to cause problems. Much the same as feral pigeons.

Well said Tony..I personally love Gulls, they are masters at what they do, incl nicking yer chips ..but like you say, brought about by man's bad habits and practices.

They do one for iOS too. It actually identifies the species and displays it on the phone's screen. It does this by analysing the frequency of the bat's clicks. Not every bat can be identified this way but most can.

I'm keeping that quiet the boss already expects me to buy her an expensive trail camera, well it was her 70th a couple of weeks ago. I though I was going to get off light with the lock down.

We like watching the bat's flying about in out garden in the evening.

The boss has a pet Herring Gull she feeds, it sits on the bird feeder (too big to get at the food) so she throws food on the ground for it.
Bleeding things frighten the life out of me when they stomp all over the conservatory roof.

We often have problems with wasps, last year they started arriving and i'm sure we had the start of yet another nest but then I started seeing bats in the same area and the wasps disappeared , do bats feed on wasps?

No .I have both & neither bothers the other. wasps go to sleep at night
